For example, Morgott isn't a very hard boss to no hit with a normal build. If I told you to beat him on RL1 with an unupgraded weapon? Yeah, in the 20 minutes you're going to be fighting him it's hard to not get hit even once.

It ain’t that deep. Thrusting swords just hit quicker and have very fast recovery on top, which allows him to exploit certain attack windows not accessible to larger weapons, while still having decent damage. Basically more freedom of attack, ult users on the other hand need to really look out for certain combo‘s attack windows, since not every window is big enough to be exploited by ults.

Ongbals method of dodging the double slash by sidestepping the first slash and rolling the second is ingenious. The sidestep recovers faster giving you enough time to roll through the second. Rolling the first swing is inconsistent because sometimes you don’t recover fast enough to roll through the second attack.

This causes a jump backwards, which can be useful for creating quick but short distance between us and our opponent. I personally find backstepping is easier in PVP, and I imagine it is a combination of length of player weapons being shorter overall, and the perpetual need to create distance that I don’t think is as strong in PVE. I also imagine now, with the talisman, it is more viable because we have more generous windows of time respond to enemy moves without taking damage, sort of like a proper dodge. Just some possibly helpful information.

Without buffs in many fights such as Relanna It's about doing it at the right space to make your opponent wiff their attack so you can land the backstep follow up attack. It takes practice and understanding the opponents decision making.

This is really awesome! I just want to know what would be your strategy if he had done the gravity attack (the one with the purple spikes on the ground) in phase 2 because, if I didn't miss it, he didn't do this time.

That attack is annoying but it’s impractical to prepare for it because you are very unlikely to get it in the first place because he can only do it if he either hits you with the gravity pull or you are too close to him. The simple answer is to just not get hit by the pull and don’t be next to him then he just won’t do it. I know it’s reductive to say “just prevent it from happening” but in this case that IS how you are supposed to dodge it.
