Right after you give the potion to Ranni, Silvius is dead even if you don't go through any loading screen and just go back to him. So his questline ends at that moment. You didn't miss anything

I just did the quest, following this guide. I did not give Ranni the potion, but after giving her Nokron's treasure(Fingerslayer Blade), I went to Liurnia Divine Tower and then back to Seluvis and he was dead. Makes me wonder if she already knows about his scheme. Great guide!

A quick tip for those who already have star light shards instead of finding one in the open world you can just drop 1 and pick it back and refresh your game and the option will apear.

I can confirm that exiting the game and opening it again made the option to buy puppets appear. Also, after buying the 2nd puppet, I could talk to him about the scheme. Didn't have to buy any sorcery, thankfully.

I like how this quest has actual moral choices in it now, the quests are becoming a lot more interesting in elden ring as certain quests can actually affect other quests and even lock you out of them sorta like new vegas if you make certain choices, I like this a lot and I hope they continue to expand on quests in future games or dlc, having multiple options gives you a lot of control

I gave Gideon the potion. I went to the hidden chamber and broke it open. I then read the golden message that said it was Seluvis’s puppet, then I went to Seluvis and there was a dialogue option to ask him about his secret chamber. After he spoke to me about breaking into his chamber he then said I was his accomplice and offered me one of the two puppets. I’m super excited that I saw your video because I really truly wanted the finger maiden puppet. Now I’m going to try to get the other puppet by going into the chamber from the rooftop thanks again for your video!

I found it that if you kill Dungeater after giving him the Seluvis's potion than you can get his armor set and it will not affect Selvius's quest, the only change will be that there will not be Dungeater's puppet in his chamber but you will still get his puppet from Seluvis.

Small note but you dont have to buy all of his sorceries to get the "about the scheme" dialogue option. You just have to purchase the other puppet

Can confirm you need to buy all the puppets and if you miss those startlights the option wont be shown. So gather some and come back. Then it works :)

You can check out Pidia while he’s alive in the spot shown near the end of the video. He’ll be alive as a merchant as long as Seluvis is also alive I believe. Either way you can get his items with his bell bearing I think but worth noting

I just heard about this charm and it seems there is a lot of misinformation about it. Your guide is the best I have seen but I have one correction. I am at the step and once I brought the 2nd doll from him I got the option to retrieve the Amber starlight shard. I did not have to buy any of his spells to get that step :) I'm glad I can get it without messing with Ranni because I am all in serving her this playthrough!

For those not getting the dialogue to open his puppet shop and you have starlight shards. Restart your game. I closed my application and it came up right away. Some people say to obtain another starlight shard or speak to him in the morning.. these are false. Just restart and it will work.

In Order to give the Potion to Gideon, you need to progress Nephelis Quest until shes in the Basement of the Roundtable Hold. This Happens after she leaves, then u find her under the Bridge in the Albinaurics Village. I then killed the boss, couldnt find her anymore and went to Roundtable Hold. After talkin to her in the Basement i could trigger an Conversation with Gideon about her and give him the Potion.

3:25 Cannot confirm, but I have heard from various corroborated sources that another way to activate the additional puppet shop dialogue option is to simply drop a starlight shard in your possession in front of him, then pick it back up again. It's not clear if it's necessary to do it in front of him or if any location will do.

I know this is old, but FYI to anyone who is watching this, I bought the puppet with starlight shards, but didn't buy all of his sorceries, I left the area for a while to farm runes to buy the sorceries and came back and the option to ask about his scheme was already there! (also of note, I had already had the amber starlight shard in inventory from exploring many hours earlier in the game.)

So I was just able to start and finish this entire quest line after getting the dagger in Nokron. Had the dagger in hand, was on my way to Ranni, but I stopped by Seluvis and thought, what’s this dude all about, so I looked up your video and glad I did. Also found out a way to get his dialogue prompt for a new puppet is to go elsewhere, summon the puppet you recently purchased and try it on combat. Then return.

I chose not to give Ranni the Amber Draught, she still gave me the Inverted Statue, wished me well, then I went to Seluvis (dead) and Pidia (dead and got the Dolores puppet I missed earlier), so no need for Absolution and also got the Magic Scorpion Talisman :)

If you picked up a starlight shard but Seluvis still won't give you the option for the puppet shop, try buying all his spells, fast traveling somewhere else, and then fast traveling back. It worked for me

This is true. I just included it for those that want to see his quest through. It will cause Seluvis to die earlier so you can pick up his armor set early. It will also cause Pidia to die early so you can get the Nepheli or Dolores puppets.

Starlight Shards - if you have them already, go to Inventory find a Starlight Shard, click on it and click “Leave” It will drop on the floor. Pick it up. Leave game completely. If you are on PC then Alt+F4 and on PS5 go “Close Game” when you come back - the dialogue will show. You can do all this in front of Seluvis, no need to stay by the Grace.

First of all, he was too much of a smartass (hahaha). Secondly, as I progressed through the game at some point further on I actually found his Tower with his drip gear laying there (to which I had no idea why), when I was doing the Renni/Ranni quest line for one of the endings. I kept thinking it was the other Tower with the door locked, but while I was fighting the dragon until it disappeared is when I located it. Dis shitz crazy! 😂

The person that is dead at the end of the video the holder of the puppets or something like that before u beat selvus’s questline and they die dropping their bell bearing they will sell you a celestial dew, an ash of war, an old ruined map, and some other things as well. So make sure u get those things off of that person before finishing the quest line killing them

I came inside the sewer and saw dung eater beating his head against the wall. He wasn’t tied in a chair or anything. I try to talk to ranni and she says “the curse mark is not here, be gone” lol

A tip for people who starlight shard... Just rest at the grace and move time to 48 hrs (2 morning cycles) and the dialog will appear. Just tried it and it worked.

Don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but you don't have to buy all of his magics. I progressed after just buying puppets.

After attempting to give Ranni Selivus's potion and he says begone, Ranni will kill you if you attempt speaking to her 3 times. Ranni will disappear if you return to her chamber after she killks you, but you can fix that by doing an absolution at the church of vows then return to Ranni's chamber and she will be there to continue with her questline.

I'd LOVE to have this talisman specifically. I'm level 474 and I missed it on my 1st and 2nd runs. I can trade some stuff for the talisman. I have plenty of items and ashes of war, but I really NEED that for my mage build. Just let me know and hit me up on PSN: Acrision_ (PS5)
