Ok. October 2024, this may have been fixed. Dragon now blows fire 3-4x and walks up to tree and swipes it. He doesn't fly immediately anymore. Of the times he flew , he went down to ground rather than tree. I don't know if it's just my run, can't confirm just yet.

5/10/24 Still works! Took him awhile to fall, but it definitely happened. Don't worry about losing aggro once he's stuck, he'll continue to walk.

I was so confused. I saw a streamer get lucky and do the glitch where Greyll triggered the glitched fall as mid fall from the tree, so I thought I was doing it wrong and just reset it early. Thanks for the video, will make my challenge runs far easier.

Lol, got it first try. I think the trick is to really jump as close to the ledge as possible over the fence to the bridge. This keeps his direction path going into the void. with this in mind i had a feeling itd be easy

March 27, 2024 No joke, just got it first try. I had to fire a couple arrows when he was stuck in the animation at 1:15, and then he just started the fall animation. Thanks man, big help!

For me he hust stands there shooting fire and even when he does fly, its the swooping fore breath move. Definitely a test in patience.

The tree blocking and jumping to the bridge when greylls about to fly helped a lot. I couldnt replicate the glitch but I got him stuck on the cliff on like the second try so I just summoned latenna on one of the treebranches over the bridge and killed him

Still works- as of July 9th, 2024. I will say that for me the boss kept losing sight of me so he went around the tree. Easy counter to this is poke out in between the fire breath attacks so he doesn't de aggro

Can confirm this *does not* work as of August 2024. Greyll will get teleported back to her spawn point when she would have originally been killed. It also weirdly damages you even if you're nowhere nearby.

This can be inconsistent, but it does still work. I did this again 2 days ago and a number of people have commented in the last few days that it works for them. With regards to Greyll teleporting back, this only usually happens if you got too far up the road beyond the end of the bridge. The tree is still within her aggro range, but the road just past that point is the trigger for her to reset.

@@PMux79 I tried it three times doing it *exactly* like is shown in the video, never heading up the road at all, and she got into the falling pose, stayed there for about a minute (just like in the video), then teleported back to spawn every time. Ultimately I just killed her normally, which took me around 30 minutes but wasn't that hard really. lol

I had this work last week on the most recent patch and other people have commented that it still works for them. He does sometimes teleport back and sometimes just doesn’t cooperate, but they haven’t patched this out.

I didnt get the falling animation but he was stuck in a walking animation so i just hit him with bleed arrows until he died. Still semi-worked.

Finally did it, still works as of September 30th 2024. Like the other guy said using the tree worked for me. Lure him back then hide behind the tree for the fire. He should fly and land on top of the tree. As soon as he’s there book it on torrent to the middle of the bridge. From there he should get stuck in the flying animation to try and catch up to u :)

At a moment when I was behind the tree he lost aggro on me, so I just shot an arrow at him, after that he flew and I jumped on the bridge as I was supposed to do, after that the glitch worked normally and I killed him, this was my first attempt by the way. Thank you very much.

And after jumping onto the bridge remember to not be too close, otherwise you get long-distance-fire-breath'd in the face. Survived with a single hitpoint. Then I ran a bit further and healed and he started falling.

If he’s landing on the tree but not going into the falling animation, you might not be positioned on the right part of the bridge. If you’re too close to him he often doesn’t fall and if you’re too far he will respawn at his starting position.

I’ve been trying to figure out which one you mean and the only one that comes to mind is Lansseax. She’s an ancient dragon and they don’t give hearts, they usually drop spells

He often despawns if you lure him completely off the bridge. Aim to have him on the last part of the bridge when you go behind the tree. He can also despawn if he de-aggros while you are behind the tree, in which case you need to step out then get behind the tree again.

I had low hope after he said it took him 1.5 hours and a lot of luck but I got it first try so don't give up guys, stay behind the tree even if he gets close, he'll fly up and you can run and jump to the bridge like he did

If the health bar disappears, you need to move closer to him to re-aggro. This isn’t the easiest cheese to pull off, a couple of times it has taken over an hour yet on other occasions it’s happened straight away.

wow so am I the only person who is not allowed to do this? literally it hits me through the tree, or the wall, if I get in that high part of the tree like you did, the dragon will go around it or just hit me through it, and if he flies he will land on the high ground then disappear and respawn. Also pulling it is a pain in the ass because it spams the fire after literally every step, I takes me like 10 minutes just to pull it because it doesn't stop throwing fire, doesn't matter if I'm close or far. Wish mine was as dumb as yours.

Unfortunate it can be like that sometimes. I’ve had times where it’s happened on the first try and other times where it took well over an hour. With the fire through the tree, it works best if you can line Torrent up so that he’s facing forwards towards Greyll, though his controls don’t always let you do that
