Fun fact: "Erd" means "nature; earth" and is itself derived from "midden-erd", which was itself derived through "eard", meaning "home, dwelling", from "middengeard" of Old English (which we know as today as Midgard), otherwise known as the land of men. By comparison, "Halig" means "holy, bringing health" and it is from which we derive the word "hallow", as well as the words "hale" and "health", with a relation to the meaning of "being whole", rather than to the concept of "heal". The fact that the Albinaurics worship a "haligtree" rather than the "erdtree" seems to indicate that they worship a different, though related, thing. Or, perhaps they simply worship the Erdtree but in a different facet, much like how Abrahamic faiths have the same religious core but differ as you go further from that.

This episode made me realize how worth it it was to explore way past Limgrave early on because of all the sacred tears scattered around. I’m not much higher level than Oro is here, but I could handle this camp because one flask healed my whole health bar, as opposed to the maybe one-third he’s getting.

I am watching this months after and enjoying the hell out of it. Oro's sense of discovery and appreciation is really cool. Reminds me of my first playthrough. I have 100% the game five times over but damn it is fun to see someone else's journey in this amazing game.

You know, something that comes to me watching the Pumpkin Head fight here... Bleed shouldn't buildup unless actual HP damage is dealt.

No that's the whole point, status effects go through the shield. Otherwise turtling is very strong.

@@abhishekparmar6702 no, see, all the other statuses make sense going through regardless, but not bleed. Bleed is massive hemorrhaging of blood from your wounds; if you aren't hurt, it shouldn't build up. It's the only status that I feel should be that way because of its mundanity.

@@KainYusanagi you do understand this is a game right ? I mean we have a spirit horse with horns lol. Simply it's a stat effect, it follows suit. Obviously gameplay has to be balanced as well. And finally historically they have been indifferent to bleed and they clearly wanna make bring it to the forefront.

@@abhishekparmar6702 Except he's not a horse, and if anything, he's closer to a yakul than a horse. Gameplay effects function according to the lore, as we see with Madness and exposure to the Frenzyflame only affecting Humans, though at the very least Rats can also be carriers of it. If your weapon does chip damage through guards, they should bleed. If you can't even damage them through their guard, they shouldn't bleed. Plain and simple.

@@KainYusanagi I think you're wrong here... as you can see throughout the game, being splashed with blood will give you the bleeding status effect. It's not just getting slashed with the weapon. Many of the bleed weapons are coated with blood in their icons and according to their descriptions, so maybe they're splashing the enemies with blood even if they're not physically cutting them.

Yeah, there’s definitely a lot more caves and what not. Just like there’s a lot more places to get sacred tears. Obobobo just has very bad tunnel vision sometimes and doesn’t explore as much as he could.

@@westonflame9702 He also explores a lot of edge-of-the-cliff areas, where there aren't any caves, rather than bottom-of-the-cliff areas, which typically are where you find caves, lol.

Oh it's a shame. I'm sure he knows now, but at the time, he wasn't really thinking about how we can explore this world. A little bit of jumping and he'd have figured the tower out. I somehow doubt that vigor is super strong in this game, it has been one of the least invested stats that I use. Once you manage to hit about 25 to 30, you can wait for the final push to 40 for a while.

I have beautiful memories my first souls game was bloodborne and in my opinion they should do a souls game with todays citys that would be awesome..well as you can see I never commented but always watched you are funny you can play good but why all this health when you need 5 hits to kill an enemy that’s too much vigor go more for strength and dexterity like to have them same as vigor. With your intelligence of rolling you don’t need all that health when you can land 2 or 3 good hits. Greetings have fun I’m too late I know but with working full time job and living alone there is only the weekends if they are not blocked to play and enjoy this game. It’s huge i almost enjoy It like bloodborne even though I miss this dark energy like in the vulcano castle
