ELDEN RING PVP: Shameful Visage Shield Ganking

Another impractical weapon, the Visage Shield, is also fun to use if you can get your opponent in an enclosed environment and have some backup. The shield doesn't do much damage in a single instance, so instead you can enjoy watching your opponents desperately rolling and jumping and running around in circles as they slowly get incinerated.

I dare not label these doings as "shameful", lest I convict myself. For frequently am I to be found in the whereabouts of Mergo's Loft: Base. In which I perpetually invade as a loathsome Bloodtinge build, wielding the Bow Blade, and using the dreaded Repeating Pistol, sometimes (though not often) I will even apply Bone Marrow Ash. Many a poor soul hath attempted to out shoot me to no avail. For mine, is indeed, bigger. Well, except that one nave who got me with a Bone Marrowed Cannon. That time his was definitely bigger. I'm playing as a female, wearing the Knight's Garb, and the Blindfold Cap. I also use the Threaded Cane. If I invade, and you're afk, I might take some pics and send them to you. I also will sometimes wait on the bridge leading to Micholash's Boss door, often covering the bridge with shining coins. It's quite beautiful. More often than not, the host decides to fight me after seeing it, even though it's not that difficult for them to roll past me and get to the boss fight.

Might not be useful if you play alone. You have to set up the kill zone with this shield. Trap them

The question is what is even the counter to this? Maybe dragon's maw? Endure? Endure plus dragon's maw? I think about 1% of players have the dragon settup which could consistently counter this. Considering counters there is not a lot to choose from. Endure on a colossal might do it too.

I would say get around the person and backstab. Also jump attack. When using the shields Ash of war you can get posture broken easily and they can get a riposte. What helped us was being in enclosed spaces

@@radovend2023 Yeah, I was thinking of this particular scenario where there are two people taking advantage of the environment. There's no strafing around, or jumping when sandwiched by two people using this shield. I imagine some of your guests were trying to get the backstab at least, but got flamed in the back before they could.

I just recently found this shield myself. In game id have my mimic tear tank bosses while i just hid behind the shield and burned em down. Such cheese lol
