Does Spear talisman work with this build? When throwing a spear during an enemies attack animation?

@@brunniv3985 I haven't tested it, but I think spear talisman only affects direct weapon attacks, not weapon arts.

Did you know you can R2 after Ashe of War: Glintblade Phalanx and do a dash attack at your enemy like Ashe of War: Glintstone Pebble. You do a heavy from distance, then all the blades crash into them. Instant poise break in a lot of cases

just realized the crimson and cerulean daggers proc twice when performing crits on bigger targets (when you stab and then slash through them)

interesting build. I've been doing Misericorde with glintblade phalanx for stance breaking on my first playthrough having bought the game in January. I use the magic affinity for higher damage and intelligence scaling. In my offhand is either a shield with Carrian Retaliation or the Bloodstained Dagger with a frost affinity to apply two status effects against enemies I cannot parry. I'll have to look into adding the Spectral Lance to my toolkit and what ways I might need to adjust my stats.

Been basically playing the same build but with ice spear instead of spectral lance. It applies Frostbite so enemies take even more dmg when you crit them. Also since its magic dmg you can buff it with Spellblade set + Magic shrouding tear. On top of that, Shard of alexander + Ritual spear talisman. Your ice spears deal 2k+ dmg (lvl 150) and your misericorde crits close to 3k. Oh and ice spear also applies blackflame blade! Great Build!

Nice! I didn't go that route because I wanted additional poise damage and range from spectral lance. Sounds like the extra damage is worth the tradeoff.

I tried it a bit... it's hard to get hemorrhage to actually proc this way and I abandoned it. Give it a try though, maybe you'll find a way to make it work

I heard that sword spear had a particularly low poise/ stance break for a Halberd. I love the weapon but I wonder if it doesn't get outperformed by other spectral lance candidates.

Would Crucible armor help the buid? it buffs Crucible incantation

@@SuperBluDude The crucible incantations aren't really central to the build and that armor will add too much weight. You could definitely make a build that uses that armor and lean more heavily into that aspect if you wanted.

Nice idea. Just wondering isn't Ice spear just better than spectral lance at poise braking? And you can set the weapon to cold and apply frostbite?

I think ice spear does more damage, but spectral lance does more poise damage.
