One of my favorites, I don't use the blood buildup just like that it's there to apply a little pressure. It's got great damage for it's light weight so you can build out some very good low stamina powerstanced builds using two of these. Easy to find early. Very cool weapon

So the thing about Dark Souls 2 PvP, was builds stood out more than DS3 because of the combat shield variety, twinblades, and powerstancing present in the game. You also had so much more sorceries, miracles, and okay bit in pyromancy, but hex magic was its own defined thing, and invasions were usually more dictated by Soul Memory as a system, as were to allow phantoms joining the host. There was also a surprising few designated hotspots for covenants like the two Royal Rat sites, the Bell Guarding locations, Covenant of Champions, etc, and the means to be enabled to be invaded wasn't as opt in specific. Then in Dark Souls 2 there was that many more cosplay armors and boss weapons to choose from. In Dark Souls 2 there was also quite a few punish spots for dealing with most hackers via gravity. Besides all that, I honestly DO enjoy the Majuula music the most of any hub area we've had and the NPCs were mainly much more jovial up until they hollowed. But you weren't so likely that many people would be spamming things like Dark Souls 3's Chaos Vestiges. Honestly, I really missed how damn useful their torches were, and clearly Fromsoft agreed when they added more torches. The only downside to torches in DS2 was they could be extinguished and had a timer, but you could light the environment's torches and braziers. TBH DS2 had so many good ideas.

PvE I know, but these are what I beat my 2nd playthrough with. Occult infused and spamming jump attacks, they pretty much insta-bled most enemies, two-hit bled minibosses, and trivialized most boss encounters. Even if an enemy is immune to blood loss, the jumping L1 plus talisman and the arcane scaling made the AR high enough to where I didn't even need to worry about changing weapons. My go-to ash of war was Spectral Spear for most of the run, which proved to be surprisingly potent. Super long range, incredible poise damage, low fp cost, great tracking and homing. Most importantly, because the majority of enemies like to lean slightly forward while marching directly towards the player, coupled with the fact that Spectral Spear aims a bit higher than your lock-on at mid range, I tended to get free headshots more often than not, without even trying. I can't count the number of times a panic-spear came in clutch and poise-broke bosses or straight up landed a kill. I also never had to worry about enemies staying out of reach or flying. I hate the Vulgar Militia these saws come from, but the weapons themselves are probably one of my favorites in the entire game now.

In the first invasion, that first phantom got straight up deleted. Chase you should use the scavengers curved swords dual wielded with the poison infusion, then seppuku on offhand, poison moth AOW on MH. This dual proc build is how I delete bosses and players alike.

My favorite with this weapon has using the Ash of War "Sword Dance" with the frostbite aspect. Catches both duelists and invasion victims off guard with how much distance it closes, especially being on a Halberd class.

Yeah, sword dance is truly busted with its range, aoe and timings :) Ever saw that on pike? it slaps whole arena it feels :D

People don’t realize also that putting occult scaling on this weapon with the Ashe of war Poisonous Mist is way OP like 1 hit and you proc poison. Then imagine Kindrid of Rot Exaltation and Lord of Blood’s Exaltation with the Mushroom helm and you’re doing Godly amounts of damage. To be even more Vulgar, use Dragon communion Seal to cast Rotten Breath if you can hit it as a back up aoe. I’ve done it so many times that invasions with this setup I mentioned are cake

I would love to see the morning star please! It’s not bad at all, benefits from the spear talisman with certain attacks and barbaric roar true combos, infuse it with frost and it’s an absolute machine. Catching somebody with a charged barbaric R2 while using the roar and axe talismans usually leads to constantinople being retaken.

I recommend the Omen Cleaver, it's got a unique two-handed heavy that is really fun to use. I use it with a Faith build with lightning scaling on sacred slash and I get over a thousand damage (with the help of buffing).

Hey man I'm not sure if you know this since I haven't seen you use it in any of the videos yet but both double slash and sword dance have follow up inputs for additional attacks. Double slash's follow up in particular usually hits for the same damage as both initial strikes and is my personal favorite.

recently started delving into PVP myself and now that i have some personal experience with it i was wondering how many duels do you usually go trough for these showcases, i notice a lot of the opponents you go up against have varied and interesting setups but from personal experience those kinds of setups are somewhat of a rarity, to be fair i only have a few days worth of experience but i see an overwhelming amount of poise builds, spears/great spears, bleed builds and finger print shields, and that's both for being summoned and summoning

when you are summoning, you can see who you summon dont you? So dont pick those guys with fingerprints and bullgoats and you are golden :D

I just started a new file the other day with this exact set up. Basically I had two weapons to choose from the spiked spear or the saw, the saw was much easier to farm then I slapped the spectral spear on there boom insane arcane weapons before fighting any bosses.
