Elder Bednar is always articulate and clear. Hearing him speak in conference as a new apostle made me want to return to church.

All because of one 14 year old boy's prayer and a book that witnesses to the world that Christ is the Redeemer and Savior. Truly the fulfillment of Daniel's prophetic stone rolling forth. God lives and His Son's infinite love and mercy will save all who have faith on His name.

Fast and pray for the safety of our beloved leaders who teach and preach of Christ. There is no safer place to be in this world of much turmoil and confusion than by the guidance of these leaders of moral discipline. Thank you Elder Bernard for your brilliance and true caring for all of God's children in every nation of the world.

Great address! So so happy that Elder Bednar touched on the fact that we are saved by God's grace, and that it is our faith in Him that motivate our actions. "I believe in Christ" is spoken best through the life you live.

Josh he never said we are saved by grace but we need God's grace to be saved. They are two different things.
@freedomfromcucks12672 жыл бұрын
@@jabulani22shepo61 He didnt have to say we are saved by grace. That is already understood and accepted as the truth. By saying we need God's grace to be saved suggests/ implies that it is something that we havent obtained/earned. Though it has already been given to us as a gift by Christ himself. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

It's wonderful seeing an apostle of the Lord in Washington. There is a special spirit when the Lord's servants talk and testify about the Savior.

I watched President Hinckley's speech at this event and it was phenomenal. I miss him! Elder Bednar is a great follow up 22 years later. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is a great example of "going about doing good."

Our church gives alot because we love alot. We love alot because we follow Christ who also loves alot. I wish people would stop judging others and just find the common ground that brings us together. Everyone will eventually find out we are all each others bothers and sisters. And we should love our eternal families.

Thank you, Elder Bednar! When you said, “We do all things because we love Him,” I was finishing your sentence along with you. You expressed the feeling of my heart: why I willingly serve in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And, I’m sure you were expressing the sentiments of millions of members of His Church around the world. Thank you for representing Jesus Christ to the press, but thank you for representing us as well.

I put Elder Bednar's address to the press on the level of the apostle, Paul, addressing King Agrippa. The spirit of the Lord was speaking through Elder Bednar who answered every question without hesitation so perfectly and was unafraid to testify of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I listen to this again and again. I love it so much.

Whenever I listen Elder Bednar, I remember the testimony of Elder Boyd K Parker, about what transpired between him and Elder Bednar, when Elder Bednar, then a missionary was serving in the Communist territory. When Bednar gave him some money, when their train was leaving. And he, Boyd K Parker, asked him why as the train was running Bednar ran along and handed over the money to him. Telling him, Parker, that he would need the money. Reluctantly Parker collected the money. Which he used later to save his spouse from being dropped, by the Ticketer when her purchased ticket was misplaced. Very inspiring testimony indeed.

Thank you Elder Bednar! Wow, first time since the year 2000 for the press club. I am astounded at all the church is doing world wide. Surprised that the humanitarian work in 2021 2,800 truck loads of food went out to the world, providing millions of meals to those in need. Contributions to higher education in 2021 alone, more than 1 billion dollars donations.

Hi Troy, thanks for your question. Those in need of help, whether members of the Church or not, can meet with a Church leader in their area to discuss their needs. The leader would then help determine how much or long an individual would receive help. Provisions from the storehouse are free.
