Unfortunately thats the way it is now, You tube For Everything. Before INTERNET YOU would have to go seek it out. Travel, So you are lucky this is here. I still travel for ceremonies and seek out medicines for Baamaadziwin. "Good Life" and that's how it works. Have to give a part of yourself. Some people watch you tube and obtain some knowledge then all of a sudden they are running sweat lodges and giving out medicines with out having the RITES. Pretty Deep Stuff. Be Careful a

Thank you so deeply for posting this video, it actually brought tears to my eyes. I work in Alberta and recently was informed that Rat Root was a banned substance at site, and I didn’t know what it was. And now I do, and I’m so dumb founded as to why they would ban it. But I’m happy to have this new beautiful knowledge about this plant 🌱 I will pass it on.

I was gifted a peice of this medicine from a very new friend I met at Tim Hortons in Alberta. Upon learning I have type 2 diabetes, he drew up his medicine pouch from Around his neck and under his shirt. He pulled out the medicine and broke off a peice for me. And gifted it to me. I immediately felt my heart warm with gratitude. I came here today to learn more about it. Natural medicine is beautiful,and the people who practice them are wise and full of love for mankind.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I'm 59 now and learned 5 years ago our family is part Cree. I lost many years where I could have learned language, culture and medicine. I became naturally attracted to plant medicines about 10 years ago. Creator must have been speaking to me. I would feel some plants speaking to me and would have to research what they were good for and how to prepare them. I wish I lived closer to tribal elders so I could learn more and teach my kids!

@@lilsyrupshawty oh aren't you so self-righteous and virtuous! Darla Benson SHOCKING On Fox News❗ Corruption of Medicine Top best UK Cardiologist, Dr. Aseem Malhorta researched the data for ten years and discovered that Statins the "MIRACLE" cholesterol drugs/medicine is a huge Pharma SCAM and it only works on 1% of patients if that! Dr. Aseem: "A lot of the data that doctors receive has BEEN CORRUPTED; it's FLAUD STUDIES by Big Pharma's vested interests, and doctors don't know! ONE BILLION people take statins world-wide. It's a huge Industry!" min 6:10 Dr. Aseem: "Prescribed drugs(medications) is the THIRD LEADING CAUSE OF DEATHS, because of side effects." ❗ (.....wait , WHAT?? ONE OUT OF THREE DEATHS GLOBALLY is from MEDICINE? The "medicine" is KILLS people❓😳😮) After promoting the cov*id va*xx on television, Dr. Aseem started to also question and research the Co*vid va*xx data due to the death his very healthy father (and also a doctor) after he took the two doses. He discovered the same about the va*xx data! It's also based on FRAUDULENT studies ❗ Dr. Aseem: " There is no independent research! All the data is "research" done by the Pharma companies and it's skewed to look favourable for their vaxxines and drugs(medicine)." Dr. Aseem: min 24:17 "The FDA Agency gets 65%: of it's funding from Big Pharma Companies. This is a Huge Conflict of Interest. In the UK, our Regulator Agency the MHRA gets 86% of their funding from Pharma. So that's a big problem. They get a summary of the thousands of pages of the drug research data and they never read the entire study. They just read the small skewed summary." Dr. Aseem names other doctors who agree with him and says there are more doctors he can't name because they are afraid to speak because they don't want to lose their jobs since the hospital they work for gets funding from Big Pharma. min 25 Dr Aseem: "Between 2006 and 2019, nine of the ten FDA commissioners went on, when they left the FDA, to get very lucrative jobs with the Pharma industry! It's a revolving door" 😮 (.... So.... Phizer to FDA employee: You were obedient and approved our fraudulent data drugs, so as a reward, you are now our CEO with a salary of $1,000,000.00) !❗Big Pharma Companies are CONVICTED CRIMINALS Dr. Aseem : "Between 2009-2014 most of Pharma companies payed fines totalling to, $14,000,000,000 FOURTEEN Billion Dollars for fraud; Illegal marketing of drugs; Hiding data and Harms." Dr Aseem: " One of the most egregious examples was the Merk Vioxx Scandal. Vioxx, a drug that was marketed as an anti inflammatory medicine in 1999, supposedly better than Ibuprofen, was causing HEART ATTACKS, and killed 60,000 Americans (more than the number of Americans that died in the Vietnam war). Following an investigation in 2011, Merk was fined $950,000,000 (nine hundred fifty million) But they made ONE BILLION Dollars in profit, even with all the caused heart attacks." (After all the marketing expenses and the fines, they were still left with $50,000,000 Profit). Dr Aseem: "The MERK scientists knew about the side effects of Vioxx! When the investigation occurred in 2011, looking at all the litigation behind the drug, it was discovered that in 2000 in an internal e-mail, the chief scientist of Merk, had said: 'It's unfortunate about the cardiovascular effects of this drug, but we will do well and the drug will do well.' " Dr Aseem: "Now how do you explain that behaviour Tucker? The eminent Forensic Psychiatrist Dr Robert Hare, who is behind the original international definition of PSYCHOPATH, in a book and a documentary, he says that these CORPORATIONS, in the way that they conduct their business, they behave like a PSYCHOPATHIC ENTITY! So, what does that mean? Callous disconcern for the safety of others, cunning others for profit, deceitfulness. They fulfill that criteria." Dr. Aseem: "So with everything I know, taking a step back. Why the USA and other countries around the world did they mandate, why are they pushing the va*xx*ine on kids? I think this is the downstream effect. My hypothesis is this; Of a Psychopathic Entity that has had increasing unchecked visible and invisible power over our lives over the last three decades." Dr Aseem: "Although Drug Industry can be involved in developing drugs, they shouldn't be allowed to then test them and hold on to the raw data. The regulators (FDA, CDC) shouldn't be funded by Industry. And politicians should not be taking money for campaign from Big Pharma" Dr Aseem: "One of the primary purposes of government is to protect their citizens from external aggressors, but also to protect their citizens from disease, and to serve the interests of the people. And they are not doing that!" Tucker: "The FDA is the REGULARLY BODY, It's just INSANE that they get the majority of it's budget from the Drug Companies!" Dr Aseem: "This problem persists is because people don't understand these system failures. A few months ago, during a meeting organized by The British Medical Association, I gave a talk. And the chairman of the British Medical Association was there. He was shocked and gobsmacked when I told him that the MHRA in our country gets 86% of it's funding from Pharma. So a lot of the people who are making decisions and even pushing the va*xx*ines don't even understand the system failures. Doctors and general public and patients don't know what's happening and they don't even know that they don't know!" Tucker : "And yet, there is enough noise on the peripheries about the va*xx*ine. Doctors are payed to be curious! Science is curiosity, and I have to say with respect to you as a Doctor, but I AM SO DISTRESSED by the WILLINGNESS OF SMART, EDUCATED PEOPLE IN THE MEDICAL PROFESSION TO GO ALONG WITH THIS IN THE FACE OF MOUNTING EVIDENCE THAT THEY'RE WRONG. WHAT IS THAT? " Dr. Aseem: " WILLFUL BLINDNESS consists of Doctors and human beings turning a BLIND EYE TO THE TRUTH, in order to feel safe, to avoid conflict, to reduce anxiety, and to PROTECT PRESTIGE! kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWSwgaF4pculiM0

Just harvested a handful and am making a vodka tincture that apparently lasts up to a year. After watching Bertha's video I will also dry a few pieces for travelling, and plant some in our cattail patch. Would be lovely to have it grow as this plant is sadly disappearing in western Canada sloughs as they dry up. Many thanks Bertha!

So I looked it up, because I wanted to know what it was and how to identify it. Apparently this is the root of sweetgrass? Is it true? My source was Wikipedia, so I just wanted to verify. Miigwech for these videos. I'm fascinated.
@SteamShinobi7 жыл бұрын
Not true at all. It is not the root of the sweetgrass - different plant entirely. This plant: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acorus_calamus is rat root; Acorus calamus this plant: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hierochloe_odorata is sweet grass; Hierochloe Odorata

just so you all know, only men are suppose to pick it as that teaching has been handed down for thousands of years ... i know some of you will say... times have changed so you will pick it anyways .. but no .. if your a woman then you do not pick it ... if a woman says its ok to pick by yourself, then that person has not been taught the right way .. that person was taught by a christian raised residential school kid ... who is now old and doesn't know themselves the correct protocol. just because a person is old and talks about stuff doesn't mean they know what they are talking about.
