I just want to say, this new narrator sounds like he's having way too much fun with the daedric princes. He seems to roll his voice perfectly to make names, events, and... really, anything, sound just so sinister. Bravo, guys.

I know a lot of people hate the new voice narrator for the Elder Scrolls lore series, but this guy's voice is PERFECT for describing Daedric Princes like Namira and Peryite. To me, it has a really deep, calming but also intimidating and evil sound to it; awesome... I mean, just listen to the guy's voice from 5:35 onwards, particularly when he describes the cannibalism of Namira's cultists/// O.o

I think you can hear his confusion - of late whoever has been writing these lore episodes has become really rather verbose and sloppy. There are several times over this where he used the same verb twice in the same sentence. It's not so much that he is poor, it's that the writing is.

Nisil The Dunmer but it's still not outside her scope of power :V she "blessed" the beggar prince with disease, revulsion and pity, so she can control the aspect of disease. corrosion and rot is associated with decay and death (she is the mistress of decay). and pestilences are associated with the above. if the beggar prince were to wish to have a power from namira, it would be the power to shake the kingdom so he could claim what he covets so hard: the throne. were he to command the powers namira commands, he could easily come off as the savior of his realm by reversing the effects of his power (though as a daedric power, i doubt he would be able to, but such is the price of greed, after all, and consorting with things evil)

blackhand892 I remember hearing rumors, when Elder Scrolls 5 was announced, that it would be set in Akavir and I got so excited about it. I was little disapointed when we got Skyrim instead, but I hold out hopes for TES6 taking the hugely bold step of shifting the setting to the Eastern continent of Nirn, because I loved reading about Akavir and its amazing sounding kingdoms of vampire snake people, kung-fu monkeys, the realm of the Tiger-Dragon Emperor and the Frozen Hell and its demon inhabitants
@mattgates886510 жыл бұрын
weldonwin you make it sound really epic
@weldonwin10 жыл бұрын
Matticuss StormBlade Akavir is seriously epic. Its where the Blades originally came from and its where most of the dragons went to after the Dragon Wars and Alduin's defeat by the ancient Nordic heros. In every Elder Scrolls game, there is a book to be found called Mysterious Akavir that tells you all about it, its kingdoms and the peoples there. Picture the setup of being another prisoner (Its Elder Scrolls traditon), drafted from the Imperial prison to be crew on another expedition to Akavir, your ship is destroyed and you wash up on the shore, beginning your adventure from there, with a whole new, almost totally alien land to explore, complete with at least four different factions to join (The aformentioned Vampire Snakes, Kung Fu monkeys, Samurai Cats and Demons from the frozen hell)

Is Sheo the most well known? I wonder how many people understand his importance as the Sithis shaped hole of the universe that was created when Lorkhan's divine spark was removed. Usually the next daedric lord they do has some relation to the last one. So with vaermina being dreams and nightmares, and affliction of the mind who's the closest lord to that? Sheogorath, with vaermina using nightmares people don't get sleep when people don't sleep they start to go mad from lack of sleep that's when sheo comes in. I think Namira is so misunderstood. She's a beacon for social-outcasts and I think that's quite a respectable quality
@Rynewulf10 жыл бұрын
Thing is she's a double-edged sword. On the one hand she is the patron and protector of the outcast, but on the other hand she revels in the disgusting and disturbing and inflicts such things upon those she wishes to protect and bless. How'd you like it if a supernatural being gave you an incurable disease and they said 'but I was only trying to help! D:' I get what you mean though, she is perhaps more maltreated than she should be since she's more simply different than malicious. But then most the daedra and their worshipers are looked down on in the Elder Scrolls universe despite several princes+cults being simply misunderstood and not so bad
@Rynewulf10 жыл бұрын
***** I guess they both cover different kinds of outcasts? That would make sense. Namira tends to favour those outcast due to being seen as disgusting like the diseased or those that pursue extreme taboo (like cannibals) whereas Malacath seems to favour the more general outcasts, like the orcs/orsimer. People more or less outcast just 'cuz due to general social stigma than out of revulsion. At least that's how I see it
@thatorcberserker867010 жыл бұрын
But you could also say that Malacath is the prince of outcasts having created the orcs, who are the biggest outcasts in tamriel and their name (orsimer) translating into pariahfolk

Here are a couple ideas for daedric artifacts based on Namira and Peryite. Staff of Namira - Sprays a trail of venomous vermin at enemies at some will gradually grow in size and attack enemies nearby as well. these growing bugs can vary from acidic slugs, blood sucking worms, toxic spiders, spike covered beetles and painfully stinging flies. after 30 seconds the insects will explode all types of random diseases inflicting either bleed, poison or disease damage. the major drawback of this staff is that the wielder is inflicted with the three gifts of the beggar prince such as illness, pity and disregard. you choose one random disease of your choice, and people will toss a coin at you but will steer clear of your presence. wielding the staff will also make you smell worse than filth. Armor of Peryite -. At first glance it looks like a set of dragon scale armor that is half rotted. Once you wear it, not only does it make you immune to fall damage, but each time you press the jump button, wings sprout out and flap mid-air allowing you to fly. Another ability is that a pestilent fog will cover anyone below you, giving them lingering poison damage. the downside of this armor is that you are also poisoned while wearing it doing 15 poison damage every 3 seconds
@karrypto8610 жыл бұрын
This season started with some prominent Tamrielic figures then shifted to the individual daedric princes. There were still many more important figures left in history that could be explored and I hope to see them again in the future episodes. Relevant examples: Mannimarco, The Tharn Imperials, Vanus Galerion, Divayth Fyr, Shalidor, the faction leaders in Elder Scrolls Online, the guilds, the Blades, the races of Akavir, and other major subjects like magic in Nirn, necromancy, creatures and many more.

Since they're covering the Daedric Princes, and did somewhat cover Sithis in the Dark Brotherhood video, i think they should do a video on the God of Worms, Mannimarco. At the end of TES II: Daggerfall, due to the Dragonbreak, Mannimarco recieved the Mantella and used it's power to ascend to godhood, and became the God of Worms. The "Mannimarco" you kill at the end of the Mage's Guild questline in TES IV: Oblivion, was nothing more than a simulacrum, since even before godhood, Mannimarco was a Lich. The Revenant Moon, is said to be the physical manifestation of the God of Worms, which is how Necromancers make Black Soul Gems.
