Prepare to have your mind blown. This video explores the mysteries of the Sun, our nearest star and the most important thing in our solar system. At the end of the video is a special treat; the highest resolution video ever taken of the Sun, using the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope. We have even added the sound of the sun, to give a real sense of being close to it.
These stunning videos were put together by NASA and rendered in 4k for your viewing pleasure.
Coronal Mass Ejection is a phenomenon when the Sun spits out a large volume of plasma, due to the crossing or tangling of magnetic field lines. It creates beautiful video, and we hope you will really enjoy this one.

The yellow-red images are likely taken with hydrogen-alpha filter. It's a very narrow band filter, letting only a single wavelength of the spectrum through. There is something called a white light filter. It is a comparatively inexpensive filter that allowes you to safely photograph the Sun. The image will look like a white cue ball, sometimes with some black spots on it - sun spots. The surface wouldn't show much detail. It might look a bit grainy. It takes quite a bit of processing to get some detail visible. Still it's nothing like the images shown in this documentary.

A “perfect reflector” reveals the true colour of the sun: polar-caps and cloud-tops and snow. The sun is literally “snow-white”…..as are all Type G2 stars. (It looks yellowish for the same reason the atmosphere seems to be blue…different wavelengths scattering differently in earth’s atmosphere.)
