La “Quema de los panzones” se realiza a un el costado de la pirámide de Cholula, como parte de la tradicional feria y las celebraciones a la Virgen de los Remedios. Alrededor de las 15 horas, los mayordomos queman muñecos de cartón, forrados con pirotecnia, rellenos de frutas y dulces, que representan a los Mayordomos salientes de tres barrios de Cholula: Tlaxcalancingo, Santa María Xixitla y San Matías Cocoyotla.
Los panzones son una representación de los sacrificios que supuestamente se realizaban en la pirámide. El muñeco tiene características que van de acuerdo con el mayordomo y está relleno de fruta la cual sale de una abertura que representa el corazón y la gente al comerse esa fruta, realiza “el sacrificio”. Por último, el panzón se regresa al barrio para la convivencia que ofrece la mayordomía durante la noche.
The "Burning of the panzones" is made to one side of the pyramid of Cholula, as part of the traditional fair and the celebrations to the Virgin of the Remedies. At around 3 pm, butlers burn cardboard dolls, lined with pyrotechnics, filled with fruit and candy, representing the outgoing Mayordomos of three neighborhoods of Cholula: Tlaxcalancingo, Santa María Xixitla and San Matías Cocoyotla.
The panzones are a representation of the sacrifices that supposedly were realized in the pyramid. The doll has characteristics that go according to the butler and is filled with fruit which comes out of an opening that represents the heart and people to eat that fruit, performs "the sacrifice." Finally, the panzón returns to the neighborhood for the coexistence offered by the stewardship during the night.
Das "Brennen der Panzones" wird auf einer Seite der Pyramide von Cholula gemacht, als Teil der traditionellen Messe und der Feierlichkeiten zur Jungfrau der Heilmittel. Um 15.00 Uhr verbrennen Butler Kartoffelpuppen, die mit Pyrotechnik gefüllt sind und mit Früchten und Süßigkeiten gefüllt sind und die ausgehenden Mayordomos von drei Vierteln von Cholula: Tlaxcalancingo, Santa María Xixitla und San Matías Cocoyotla repräsentieren.
Die Panzone sind eine Darstellung der Opfer, die angeblich in der Pyramide verwirklicht wurden. Die Puppe hat Eigenschaften, die nach dem Butler gehen und mit Früchten gefüllt sind, die aus einer Öffnung kommen, die das Herz und die Menschen repräsentiert, um diese Frucht zu essen, führt das "Opfer" durch. Schließlich kehrt der Panzon in die Nachbarschaft für die Koexistenz zurück, die von der Stewardship während der Nacht angeboten wird.
