Back when basketball was a team sport, not that it isn't now, but you had more ball movement and player movement then, it's more individual now
@Terror8324 жыл бұрын
Actually the 90s (especially the late 90s) was nothing but iso ball and dudes dribbling the air out of the ball. Hence why the pace was extremely low and why scores were almost always in the 80s range.

Skilled and soft just isn’t as good or as entertaining as athletic and tough.
@manyisthatyou95004 жыл бұрын
@@Vanexelfan3137 we all have different perspectives, I prefer watching skilled players with amazing talent rather than someone who plays bully ball. It just seems annoying to me when someone doesn’t play fair ball
@Vanexelfan31374 жыл бұрын
@@manyisthatyou9500 I understand. I grew up watching 90s ball. Trust me, they weren’t all bullies and they definitely had skills. They just weren’t all triple or quadruple threats. Back then, there were shooters, scorers, rebounders, passers, playground style ballers, giants, skilled big men, tough guys and enforcers. There were clear lines of demarcation between everybody. Some drifted across these lines. It created storylines, rivalries and stars. Nowadays, no one can hand check, forearm check, the refs whistle everything and everyone has the skill set and range of Steph Curry (not exactly but you know what I mean). No one’s great. Everybody’s really good. It’s predicable, homogenous and boring. I understand that you prefer basketball today but the fact that you’ll never know what it’s like to enter the Great Western Forum and watch Shaq, Eddie Jones, Van Exel and a young Kobe is really too bad. It was just better back then. And it always will be.

This was the time when fouls were hard, flopping was less, efficient scorers are the actual scoring leaders, and centers dominate the league. Fast forward to present time and what we see are rules changed to favor the backcourt players which resulted to ballhogging pgs, inefficient scorers like Carmelo becoming scoring champs, and Centers no longer making an impact.

No one was really. I think he and MJ were neck and neck as far in game dunks go. Yeah, everyone knows VC pure jumped a man cleanly, but MJ has many that don't get any show in his highlights. Both monsters but VC gets the edge in showmanship(dunk contest). Mike had that in game flare. He was just such a fucking slasher man. Miss those days. Rant over.
