Wonderful animation. I remember walking along Eldon Street many times as a child in the '60s and going to the Odeon with my mum. Moved away from Barnsley over 30 years ago & no remaining ties now so this brings back happy memories. Thank you.

I was going to say that! They must have been very popular in the animated version of town, along with Anglias and Morris Minors, the only cars in the animation! Seriously though, a very interesting animation, but I remember Baine's Toyland's three shops being further down The Arcade, more or less opposite the snicket into George Yard. Towards the end, we see the underside of the railway bridge across the bottom of Regent Street, which I think was removed in 1960, before James Bond and The Sound of Music ever hit the cinemas.
