This is the moment that make me cry like a baby. I really felt identified with Chidi like a person who struggles on taking decisions. I think the moment when he opens the paper and reveals the resolution of his journey with a simple "There is no answer" means that there is no a right answer for every decision we have to make and we don't have to feel sad or guilty if things doesn't end good. We are humans, we don't know everything and we shouldn't punish ourselves for every little thing.

There is no ‘good’ answer in the philosophy of ethics- that’s kinda the point. Logic alone will not create ethical understanding. Only an imperfect and emotional standpoint can understand human ethics. AKA no philosophy nerd, impartial judge, or mathematical point system can truly judge a human heart. I loved the heartfelt emotion on Janet's face the instant she appeared in front of Chidi. She was on the verge of tears. And when she kissed him on the cheek, it endeared me to her even more. But the best was when Chidi later opened the top fold of his note... My heart sank. Then, he opened the bottom fold, and I literally jumped out of my chair and cheered. Ridiculous. I've never been so emotionally attracted to a TV sitcom. LOL

Weird thing is, I think they are gonna do the thing that season 4 seemed like it was set up for anyway. Eleanor judges the afterlife. She has seen bright life and she has seen dark life. She has proven that she is willing to make an effort which is a step none of the other Three ever truly make. She is most qualified person in that courtroom to judge humanity. And they can pull some Jeremy Bearimy nonsense to go back in time so people arent tortured for no reason.

I saw somewhere in a book that the afterlife judges you by comparing your greatest action to your biggest flaws (for example, it wrote that Mother Teresa would be judged through how she helped so many people, but also focused more on conversion rather than aid) and then a carefully handpicked committee would judge her fairly. It's a cool concept.

@@kaiatakaitao5195 If there is a bad place and mother Teresa is not in it then that system fails as well. She was a cruel torturer and deserves the worse Shawn can give her. The judgement system doesnt sound bad but what about people who dont live extraordinary lives one way or the other?

@@shihoblade I didn't mean for this post to be opinionated. I was just using Mother Teresa because she was the example given. I assume it would still be the same method, but it would be focused on the smaller things, like having children or donating to charity. People who don't live extraordinary lives can still contribute to the world in many ways.
