This was really well done. I have watched many reactions to this song and Americans in particular just never seem to get it. They don't seem to be able to cope with anything that is not totally literal. Add this to the totally unconnected original video from the movie and it really confuses them. To me it is a very straightforward song that tells a simple story of the lives of millions of isolated people. I am one of those millions and I keep a face by the door. This video hits home really hard. Well done.

Interesting that there was controversy over who wrote the lyrics to this. Mac insists it's all his, but Lennon claims major contributions. Unf, John can't elaborate on it. But consider the lyrics 1) Wearing a face that she keeps in a jar by the door, 2) Writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear. It sounds as though John had influence/added a bit here and there, but we'll never know.

It would be challenging to do, but in a future tribute you don't even need to actually include the Beatles, but you can include four similar-looking guys, generally as they would have been at the time of the song itself, with their backs turned, half to the side, passing by in the background, half out of focus, so as not to ruin the video, as extras, drinking coffee at a table, passing by, that kind of thing... I think it would be cool. The video is really good.

Some interesting images but the A.I. doesn't seem to understand in a non-literal way. It's at a loss with imagery, metaphor, and colloquialism (Father McKenzie carrying a ball of dirt was hilarious). The A.I. also doesn't really understand how instruments work, and its imagining of what instruments look like (a three string violin?) and how they're played is inconsistent, as is its imagining of characters. Well, at least it appears that everyone has only five fingers on each hand.

@@logotrikes Well, then, the sound recording technician, in the STUDIO, who looked enough, like Paul, to replace him, then?😲.
@logotrikesАй бұрын
@@danielwilkins7509 Yes, it's a contentious issue for sure, but I'm still of a mind that JPM is no more and was replaced by someone else. Many were in the loop so the suggestion that the studio engineers didn't know is naive at best. Start with Mike Williams Sage of Quay. He covers this issue extensively with some good research, much of it from 1962 to 1966. Things like when George Martin initially was asked about the Beatles, he thought they were rubbish with no apparent songwriting skills that he could discern. He was very loathe to take them on but I think the Tavistock Institute had a hand in his change of heart. Mike covers the period including and writing extensively on JPM being knocked off and a replacement in the wings ready to go. Someone who didn't actually look a lot like JPM but had numerous surgeries in the UK and Kenya of all places. He has the documentation, so it might just be believable that "something" happened. It is a very tangled web of subterfuge, deceit and outright lies, if you're prepared to take a look.. Interesting if nothing else. The Memoirs of Billy Shears is a must have, as is Nick Kollerstrom's great read about this subject. I've got these two, but I want to grab Philip Norman's book on the subject when I see it about....
