If you insert a special USB drive (eevblog has a file which will make it one), you can just send it a command over USB to make it into a DP832A which unlocks everything including the colour screen. Much faster than doing the data entry.

Really that sounds really interesting, I may take a look at that. Thanks for sharing.

yea, I used the the code with lan, once changed, you can switch to the classical UI, so much better then that quasi digital look, and the new riglol codes work as well

When you're entering all those license characters - you can't do the numerical ones just by pressing the relevant numerical button? And you can't select by pressing the 'wheel' inwards? Gosh, I'm glad I don't have to use that user interface!

If i power my raspberry Pi 4 with 5V 5A power supply, does it get damaged. Where it can support 5V 3A +-5% Does it is true that The Pi should only take as much Amps as it needs.
@tomthepom982 жыл бұрын
The 5A is simply a maximum rating the supply can provide. Most devices (pretty much any consumer product) are not going to require a current controlled power source. So yeah its fine to power a pi with a higher rated supply :)

Interesting, is there anything for DP712?
@sinist3rfpv6722 жыл бұрын
Gee, I wonder if they could have made that license a little longer, it wasn't quite an alphabet. Lol. You've got some patience there! Cool power supply!

Yeah tell me about it. The code is 28 characters long and I had to do that for the other options, but its worth it for the upgrades.
@jms0192 жыл бұрын
They should have some Unicode characters in the license say 🎉🚌🍷🦈🏰 for the don’t self-destruct when I use you at full load feature.

You might as well just do the RS232. You never know what could happen in the future to that site. Anyway, I would.

I have downloaded the file for the site and its functions binaries. You can also download. Top of page.

why does a power supply need LAN? Can you access it from a browser?
@OriginalCircuit2 жыл бұрын
Automation. Allows you to remotely control the powersupply, change settings, read current/voltage/etc.
@simontay48512 жыл бұрын
Can you connect a USB keyboard to it to make the code easier to enter?
@Elecifun2 жыл бұрын
I don't think so, I will even go out on a limb and say no. Although that would be helpful for installing upgrades.

I might get one of these. 🤔

It's a nice supply, some don't like the jog dial but I find it very useful.

@@Elecifun Yeah I read and watched the pros and cons still it seems well designed. It has a toroidal transformer unlike some other the other ones. Three different channels. My only concern is like you said the volume control which some critiqued maybe and the monochrome screen. My eye sight ain't too good which means the size of the text is kinda important to me. I like the keysight psu still it's awfully expensive. 🤔 I'm burning through too much money. I gotta put a stop on that for awhile. I'd love a oscilloscope and proper benchtop power supply still I need to rein in spending. Anyway keep pumping out content building your subscriber base and watched hours.🤔👍

@@Elecifun Oh I'd like a 10W laser cutter. To cut out holes in 7mm ply wood.
