Thank you for this. I’m still in shock and numb. In 2016 when he was elected I cried for 2 days. This time I’m angrier than ever! I just don’t understand this country anymore. Thank you for sharing joy and happiness, we all need this and appreciate what you do. Hang in there everyone. 😢

This video popped up on my algorithm. I have no idea what your channel is about, but i just want you to know that i needed this pep talk. Its real, no bullshit. Its going to get rough and its going to get dangerous for a lot of people. But i really appreciate the reminder that we can survive and even find ways to thrive. Im terrified but i am in Minnesota so i am hopeful that we will lean into "states rights" and be a sanctuary state. I won't take that privilege for granted. I am in a better position than most to fight back and I'm trying to find ways that i can. Thank you thank you thank you so much for your kind and empathetic words. Mutual support and community is extremely important right now.

Thank you for being willing to use your platform to speak out. The only consolation that I have right now is that I’m not alone in my feelings ❤

I am lucky to live in MD right now. I am a pretty anxious person anyway, but this has sent me over the edge. We need to hydrate, breathe, and talk to others when we need to. And yes, the sense of doom and bleakness is just awful. I have turned off all news for the next month at least.

Thank you. I am with you - buckle up - this is going to be rough 4 years (if we are lucky it's only 4). I have 2 theories - people either voted for him with no idea what's coming or they voted for him and absolutely embrace what is in store. Either way we've all lost in this election.

Thank’s for this video.. I was walking around in a daze, coming out of it, and trying to continue on. Not sure what’s to come hoping it won’t be as bad as I think it will be, but that’s all we got. As a Black American woman America has told me yet again what they think of me, especially white women I expected it from all men . I’ll persevere that’s what we do… Oh yeah Misogyny effects every one, and so does racism , if society was research how many billions of dolls our country loses /forgoes /never Taps into because of hate everybody would be astonished… As an heterosexual Black cis woman I will continue to be the best “ally in learning & understanding” to everyone that’s how we persevere.

thank you. i am really scared. i am lucky enough to live in portland oregon (I found your channel right as you were fleeing the state) but there is a big pro trump/proud boy/white supremacist presence kinda surrounding this town on all sides and they just love to come into town and mess with people and start fights since portland is known for protesting and fighting back. I'm surprised by how quiet its been so far. but yeah while I live in a place where rights are more protected on a state level than in other places, I'm still afraid. as a woman I see the your body my choice stuff everywhere, and as a parent I look at my trans teenager and want to protect her and don't know if I can do enough. i am so lucky I don't have any republicans in my life or my family that I have to deal with. i don't think I would at this point, id just cut them off. but the constant anxiety about whats going to come and what this country will look like a in a few years is ever present.

Do some research… people seems to forget that he was a president before and did a great job especially with our economy.

They can't do their research. First off, they don't know how to do proper research outside of confirmation biased echo chambers on social media or political op-eds. Secondly, it would make them feel uncomfortable which they don't want. Cognitive dissonance is their worst enemy. They'd rather stick with their simplified labels and attack those. They want to stay mad, which makes them stay sad. They've put themselves in this position and most of them don't have what it takes to claw their way out.
