Hi Dewayne, hope all is well. Thank you for this video truly a blessing as a relatively young Christian I kinda took Calvinism as truth with not much question or study. This has definitely opened my mind to a different perspective especially since I feel called to study more. May the Lord bless you and your family and bring increase in all that is good. If you want to study it more. Go to a youtube channel/Steve Gregg. He's a teacher of the Word and is very good about teaching what each doctrine or various teachings perspectives are...but he doesn't try to get you to believe what he believes, but wants you to read the scriptures and find out for yourself. He has been teaching God's Word since the 1970's when he started to in his teens. But he does argue against Calvinism....he'll tell you what he believes and why because of what scripture teaches that he believes what he does. I'll go to it and find the series that he has on Calvinism and come back and edit this and share that with you. It really comes down to prayerfully reading God's Word every day and getting to know Him and what He teaches. Amen. I'll get back with that Steve Gregg series. 🤍👑🤍🌿 I found it right away. It's called God's Sovereignty and Man's Salvation. I believe the playlist I watched had 14 videos. So there's an opportunity to really spend some time learning about it. It's well worth the time. God be with you in your studies. Love, A sister in Christ From Wisconsin, USA

Best Dewayne, i follow your talks from the very beginning and this is my first comment in which i wish to thank you. Myself am more of a seneca reader instead of Aurelius, but what i wish to thank you enormously for is you brought God back into my life. I am 50 yo and 2 years ago i was diagnosed with a severe heart condition. I loved to ride, even trailed with a horse through a path in the jungle of Ghana. But somewhere i lost God, my interest to keep reading the scriptures. In simple words, i gave up. Your shoe box theory, i was able to picture myself God still sees me and that its not yet over, and i still have a choise, and that, for the first time in years, gave me hope God sees me and may " elect" me for whatever it is, but my condition is not a race of " how much time is left" anymore, and makes me able to open my bible with the confidence he is still present somewhere somehow again and the verses hit me again. I hope God opens the shoebox to read this message that one day i come by to thank you personally for this. Its the biggest present i ever got. Dewayne, thank you. Bas.

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:44 NKJV You are equating choice and free will. I recommend defining both of those terms distinctly. Lord bless you.

“If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me”. He was lifted up on the cross , and he promised that he would draw all men unto him. Your premise falls apart at the most basic and simple of scripture.
@thomasprice36673 ай бұрын
@@TackRoomBibleTalk that verse you cite very well can be translated as "all kinds of men". Which is more consistent with the rest of scripture. If in fact Jesus gave his life to try and save all, then he is trying to save those whom God has not determined to be saved according to his foreknowledge of their choice. And the Holy spirit is trying to woo those whom the father has not determined to be saved. The Arminian view of predestination and election creates disunity within the trinity. The Calvinist view is the only one that sees complete unity within the trinity.
@travisdurst95363 ай бұрын
1. John 12:32: “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” • Jesus declares that His crucifixion will draw all people to Himself. This suggests a universal drawing by God, meaning that everyone has the opportunity to come to Christ. 2. 2 Peter 3:9: “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” • This verse indicates God’s desire for everyone to repent and be saved, supporting the idea that God draws all people, giving everyone the chance to come to Him. 3. 1 Timothy 2:3-4: “This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” • Paul emphasizes that God’s will is for all people to be saved, suggesting that His drawing power is extended to everyone. 4. Titus 2:11: “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people.” • This verse asserts that God’s grace, which brings salvation, has appeared to all, implying that all are drawn by God, but not all respond. 5. Matthew 23:37: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!” • Jesus expresses His desire to gather all the people of Jerusalem, but they were unwilling. This shows that God’s drawing is not irresistible-people can choose to reject it. 6. Revelation 22:17: “The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” • The invitation to salvation is extended to everyone, emphasizing human responsibility in accepting the call. 7. Romans 2:4: “Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?” • God’s kindness, which leads to repentance, is extended to all. However, it implies that individuals must choose to respond. 8. Joshua 24:15: “And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” • This verse highlights the principle of choice in serving God, which aligns with the interpretation that while God draws everyone, it is up to each person to choose to follow Him. These scriptures support the view that God’s drawing is universal, but humans have the free will to accept or reject His invitation. John 6:44 can thus be interpreted in light of the broader scriptural context that emphasizes God’s desire for all to be saved and the importance of individual choice in responding to God’s call.
