I recently voted by mail in Pennsylvania, but I plan to drop off some treats/snacks to my poll workers in my small town to thank them for their hard work and dedication in assisting with our elections. These people spend 17+ hours working at the polls. They deserve our admiration and appreciation, not condemnation and misplaced hate. These people are our neighbors and friends, and they should be treated with respect and kindness. I pray that our poll workers are not hassled by troublemakers that have bad intent in their hearts. I also pray that our country remains a peaceful place to live regardless of the outcome of the 2024 elections. God bless America!

@@yveeriksson7437 All of the treats/snacks I plan to offer will be properly packaged and store bought, i.e. shrink wrapped box of Asher's chocolate-covered pretzels, a sealed bag of Worther's Original caramel candies, etc. Although I would love to bake some tasty treats, I realize in the sad times we currently live in that homemade baked goods could raise caution and suspicion in some people.

I'm in Arizona. This state is a mess. We have Kari Lake and her crazy, mental state who thinks she is going to win the Senate race over Ruben Gallego. We have this debacle at our MVD and voter registration. We have armed protestors at our Maricopa County Elections office. Now we have a MAGA Republican, who won the Republican Primary over Stephen Richer, running for Maricopa County Election Recorder and wants trump to win. About 3 years ago, we have armed citizens carrying AR15 rifles, protesting right outside our Phoenix FBI location. Arizona is absolutely crazy and I cannot wait to retire and move out of here.

Return to same day in person voting and paper ballots. Problem solved. As long as there are massive amounts of mail in ballots, electronic voting machines, and God forbid online voting in some states, voting is less secure and lends itself to distrust in the system. Scolding or worse yet trying to silence critics will only make matters worse. And states like Arizona that need days and days to count votes need to get their shit together.
