So why Pineapple has the same name in European languages is probably because only in 1548 a Portuguese guy brought pineapples to Europe, since in the language from where he got them from called them "nanas" translated to fruit, they just called it "ananas". For some reason the English and the Spanish just thought "hey thatlooks like a pine cone" so they named it after that
