Being a PTI supporter, I would say that there is a realization even in the mainstream(punjabi) youth that the state has been the perpetrator in the periphery since the start of this country and this manifested in the form of support for Mahrang Baloch
@B95RWBR9 ай бұрын
Support? Where? When? Aside from a few left-wing activists no one visited the camp, no one held solidarity protests or discussions on campuses or online, no one tried to collect and deliver supplies for them either, didn't see a single public call for funds. Do people in punjab hate the army more than before? Yes sure. But do they care about baloch lives, pashtun lives, gilgiti lives, or the lives of working class men and women around them? I wish they did but I highly doubt it.

And referring to your comment that no one visited them in their camp but that just it no one visited imran khan in jail or tried to visit him after May 9th. And maybe you dont wanna believe that punjabi did show solidarity with them online because you have already made up your opinion@@B95RWBR

Shahzad sahab, thank you for having asim sajjad on your talk show. After the AWP came in existence as an alliance of leading leftist parties of Pakistan, the then chairman of AWP Late Fanoos Gugar, Hasan Nasir, barrister safi ullah ghauri and myself invited imran Khan to join the AWP alliance and he was quite agreeable but the only cavil was that he wanted the AWP to merge itself in the PTI. Several negotiation rounds with him included incorporation of AWP's major objectives in the PTI's agenda. Then suddenly, Pakistan was reborn on 11th August 2011 with the new idealogy of imranisation of Pakistan and its institutions with electables herded in to the PTI to officially enact imranisation as grund norm of Pakistan.One has never heard Imran's fanclub demanding anything for people of Pakistan. Their narrative closes on nothing other than imran Khan so what can we expect from our youth. Try talking to them but you will be shocked to find that they can't see anything beyond the person of IK. The rest all is not their concern. I will request you to often invite asim sajjad to your show and contribute to the enlightenment of your audience specially the AWP's agenda. Regards

I agree with many notions presented by Dr Asim. But he has the tendency to make a simple subject vary complicated. Many practical implementations of ideals presented by 20th century scholars provide a very bleak scenario regarding any further intervention for distribution of resources. Yet one cannot confine his imagination to dwell on the prospects of reforms in the near future.
@ayaz3729 ай бұрын
That's because those 20th century implementations were not concerned about changing the root cause of the problem (i-e capitalistic production system). They were only concerned about income distribution. So they were adding high taxes in the same capitalistic system. But he is talking about Land reforms, Public ownership of resources through nationalization, worker coop etc. Punishing unproductive industry like real estate etc. This is different from social democracy & reformism implemented in Europe. Yes this is not final stage, there are still changes needed but this is the step in the right direction to achieve even big change.
@knowledgezavia9 ай бұрын
@@ayaz372 let's see what the future entails for us. Social acceptance and subsequent coherence of such ideas is an interesting prospect regardless.
@mustafaayaz21529 ай бұрын
In Pakistan, there's a crisis of cooperation as well where people despite having shared experiences and goals can't find a common ground to manoeuvre. Maybe its because of of the geographical faultines.

Local government and proportional representation needed
@ThePakistanExperience9 ай бұрын

@ayaz3729 ай бұрын
Yes, this first-pass-the-post electoral system needs to be replaced with proportional representative democracy. In our current system more than 50% votes go to waste. And small parties almost zero represention despite getting many votes. We need to replace this system like the current system in Europe where small parties have a good chance for making change. This will automatically solve many issues like Balochistan & KP issues But no mainstream party is talking about this. Because they are only concerned about their benefit. They don't care about democracy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/foeYon2clJWHrMU

Before you say or start anything ..you have to change the name of PAGALISTAN to Pakistan!!!!! Because at this moment we are living in a country called PAGALISTAN
@TheGrimStoic9 ай бұрын
No one who has held any of the multiple apex of power that is Pakistan has ever been pagal - they have all been very rational players, including those like Gen.YK or PM.IK who were unfairly blamed to be of impaired judgement under the influence of substances. The problem is three-fold: 1. Multiple power centers due to disregard of due process and the resultant powerplays 2. Not enough patriotism in any of these power players 3. Populace's acute lack of understanding of how a system works and inexcusably short-term memory ( I was surprised it was claimed by someone yesterday to have been accurately identified by none other than NS for not starting his campaign in October) So the moniker that most accurately describes this unfortunate pathology is - MWKMNAISTAN (Mukhtalif-Walid-Kam-Mohibbulwatan-Naadaan-Awaam-istan)
