Best take away from this lecture, to strengthen the great Indian Electoral System we can look into the following four points: 1. Appointment of CEC by collegium headed by PM and inclusive of the leader of the opposition. Secure tenure of EC after appointment by the collegium similar to that of the CEC. 2. Ban on eligibility of people with criminal cases pending against them from the elections 3.State funding of political parties and complete ban on corporate financings. 4. Ensure internal democracy in political parties through penalties for delay of each week or any other suitable time lag.
