I just got mine two weeks ago here in NYC. I’m flying on 5th Avenue going to work and back home to queens. It’s solid the wide wheels give you great stability and good suspension. Powerful total 1000 watts. Hills and bridges are no problem. When I go to work I know I don’t have to worry about a flat tire and getting late to work. And on my days off I go for a ride just for fun it’s a trill. Mine is without the key I think that is unnecessary. The baddest bat mobile looking scooter. I’m glad I got one .

I live in New York too and I think I just might jump on the wagon.. I had other scooter since 2012, I think it's time for a upgrade... what's your 1-10 on this 10 being great!
@galassio95364 жыл бұрын
Tony Aguilar I’ll rate it at 10. I was last Thursday on the west side bike lane. I rode it from midtown to battery park and all the way the upper west side 98 street and it was a cool feeling and a smooth ride that bike lane pavement is flat with some steep hills and curves a lot of fun some other scooters couldn’t make it I just pass next to them smiling. And the view from the Hudson River was amazing while speeding and passing some bikes a trill ride . For the price it’s great the only one on the price range it’s the zero 9. The zero 9 got some led lights under the board which I can easily install on my wide wheel too with battery led so no need to open the board and solder cables. And the tires on the zero 9 can go flat and need maintenance. That’s why I’m happy with my wide wheel pro. If I want to purchase another scooter in the future it will be a Dualtron Thunder. It’s over 3.5 k and in another rage of scooters. But at this moment I’m having a trill ride with my wide wheel pro while some people say it’s a cool looking scooter.
@tonyaguilar21514 жыл бұрын
Niceee. Yea, I know the westside bike lane be super smooth.. that a long ride and it look like that pro did good on tour journeys.. think I might have to pull the trigger on this one.. the light doesn't matter to me as much, maybe just the head and brake lights. And like you said if I want bottom lights I just buy some aftermarket ones and tape them on or something. Lol.. but thanks for the feedback..

I can't bash this entirely without owning one, but after reading so many nightmare reviews about how many problems it has, I will never get one myself. I can see the appeal, dual suspension, dual motor, decent range, good speed and great looks. However, none of this matters all that much when the unit itself is cheaply built with stem wobble, failing breaks, an unpredictable throttle, bottoming out suspension and borderline slick tires that are extremely dangerous in wet conditions and just harder to control. Good reviews are aplenty and mostly come from people who haven't owned it more than a week.

iv been riding push scooters since I was 3 and skate park for 10 years now and currently 24, the thing for me is I can already push 18-20 mph on a neighborhood speed radar depending on how smooth the road is (but only for 15-20 seconds) and around 10-12 mph for several minutes, and I typically ride around 5-7 miles almost everyday. my gripe about electric scooters is the weight, my skatepark scooter is only 8 1/2 lbs. So i just cant decide if getting a 3-5 kilowatt electric scooter will even be worth it for me.

I just returned this scooter. I haven’t heard too many reviewers really harp on just how bad the throttle is. This is really a big deal for an average, experienced rider. Guys you need to stop cheeping out when it comes to scooters. If you’re not buying from the certified dealer you’re probably not going to get any warranty. Also chances are it is a clone and not the actual real scooter. Fluid free ride offers great customer service. They stand behind their product and will replace it if it breaks, but if you buy it from a third-party source, and you have an issue then chances are you’re screwed
@CroCopNo14 жыл бұрын
@@montelinm FFR gets their scooters from China. There are legit sellers on AE, if something breaks you get a new part.. the downside is you have to wait a month to get it and install it yourself. Some people find that acceptable to save 500 bucks.

CroCopNo1 I wasn’t aware of that. I’ve just been told to stay clear of purchasing from Other sites and I’ve heard Horror stories of people buying from Ali express and the scooter crapped out on them a few days later and they couldn’t get any support whatsoever. I also heard they didn’t get the actual range or top speed on the scooters that they purchased from the third-party sites so that’s what made me think that they were getting clones. I have the horizon from FFR. I saw several comments from people who bought theirs from Ali express claiming they only got 13 miles when I get 25+ miles. That massive difference scared me away from Purchasing outside of fluid free ride. I’m glad if you’re having good luck with yours. I’m just not 100% convinced myself

I needed a scooter for *city use* , trusted a review of the *WideWheel* that was as so positive I bought it. Afterwards, I felt like an idiot. This thing sucks for three reasons: 1. *Rock hard tires & shocks that don't* : i.e. bumps at speed (> 10 mph) will knock your molars loose. like riding on metal with "shocks" don't. this is actually dangerous. 2. *Psychotic throttle* : i.e. press, and press, and press - nothing then, at some point the throttle leaps you forward - not at all graduated & difficult to control 3. *Slow as f@ck* : if you need to cross a street before the light turns, go uphill, pass an electric wheel chair forget. after the initial lurch, 18 mph with a good 10 mph breeze at your back. I was so frustrated I returned it and got a DualTron that is awesome. You know when you get out of a bad relationship that you didn't know was bad till you found a good one. This was like that, except I knew it was bad.

@Aircam734 жыл бұрын
I just picked up the Outstorm Maxx 25Ah. The instructions were terrible and it tells you nothing about the different P modes (mine was set to max regen which almost throws you over the handle bars when it kicks in). That being said now that I have fixed the regen back to minimum and have some ride time underneath my belt I highly recommend it. It is sturdy, it is very fast to the point I haven't dared take it to the max speed. I did put the street tires on it and recommend that to anyone that doesn't plan on doing a lot of off roading. With the street tires set on 3, turbo and dual drive it will lift the front tire off the ground if you gun it. As for the Maike it looks very similar and if it can do the same as the Outstorm I would have loved to save $1k.

i just got the cle version. although every review ive watched on this scooter has been accurate none mention some important things about this scooter. 1: its freaking huge and bulky. its like a tank or the suv of scooters. at 56lbs this beast is not commuter friendly in the sense that its just too dam big and heavy its awful to try and carry this on the train or bus you will piss someone off including yourself. 2: you can tell the people who made this had no clue what they were doing. for every good thing something contradicts it. the wide wheels are pointless and are just terrible they hinder the power of this scooter. the wheels have zero traction i mean zero. anything and everything makes the wheels lose grip and you feel like you one wrong move from falling. things like the painted street lines or uneven surfaces make the wheels skip and stutter. it functions in the rain but again slippery. i dont understand why they couldnt give the wheels deeper tread for grip and instead gave it what amounts to extremely worn out tires. its dangerous considering the speed of this thing. 3: this scooter is a rocket it simply wants to take off in a straight line. theres no middle ground its fast or slow period. the speed with those awful tires is an accident waiting to happen. the kickstand is a skinny terrible thing that can barely hold the scooter. the hand grips are terrible they hurt your hands and the handlebars are too skinny for big hands. if you forget how fast this scooter is and press the throttle without a good grip on the handlebars you will fall off real bad. the brakes on the handlebars are too big and far off its awkward and difficult to hold the bar and keep some fingers on the breaks theres basically no bell the one it comes with is pathetic and useless. i swear they made this thing so you can kill yourself. its power and speed is the only good thing. honestly consider far better options for your commute.

@@bacbaohuy Are you sure it has more power? If I look at the specs, looks like the zero 9 has it all.
@bacbaohuy4 жыл бұрын
@@hcildwold1751 yes the Mercane has dual motor where as the ZERO-9 has one. That's why the ZERO-9 is lighter than the Mercane (it think it's a 5kg difference) 2020 Mercane is heavier than previous model I don't mind a little weight if it makes the product sturdy I am genuinely scared of my previous Mercane when I go above 20mph (not at first when it was sturdy and new, but at the end of the season it became flimsy, that's around 4 months of uses) I really hope the ZERO-9 is better build to maintain it's sturdyness =/ That's a big problem with reviews, there is no long term test..

While checking it out on the sellers site, I was told it has regen braking in the chat window. But I see nothing regarding regen braking in the description or any reviews. What is the truth?
@montelinm4 жыл бұрын
Bill Richards I don’t own the wide wheel but I do own the horizon. it is a cheaper scooter sold by the same retailer, and it has regenerative braking so I would assume that the wide wheel does also.

I feel bad for the people with the 2019 model. Major ReCall on 2 Serious issues??? - I like this ( thinking about buying ) but Can I Trust them?
@montelinm4 жыл бұрын
Michael Caz I can’t vouch for the wide wheel pro but I have heard they fixed the issues. I do own the horizon, which is also sold by the same company, and it is incredible. Very well-built. I just feel like this is twice the power of the scooter I currently own and would be a great upgrade if you’re looking for something more powerful.

@@montelinm I'm looking for: Ride Quality = Shocks, Riding Distance, Lite & Portable & "No Stem Wobble" - those are The Big 4 - for me. Doing tons of research.
@montelinm4 жыл бұрын
Michael Caz Well then yeah if that’s what you’re looking for then the wide wheel pro probably would not be for you. I think if you’re looking for something that has a range of over 25-30 miles you should look into the Emove cruiser. I think it should be perfect for what you are looking for. Or maybe the Zero 9 or Zero 10. Apollo makes some good scooters also.
@montelinm4 жыл бұрын
Michael Caz But if you need something under 40 to 50 pounds then those might not be great options. However Sometimes it’s a good idea to go with a bit heavier scooter like the ones I mentioned which are in the 40 to 50 pound range so that you get better performance than the lighter scooters. You’ll end up wanting more performance in the long run. Trust me. You could also consider the horizon if you are under 220 pounds and would be satisfied with a 25 to 30 mile range and a top speed of 22 to 24 miles per hour. It’s at the low-end of 42 pounds but it performs well.

James Read I got mine from fluidfreeride online shop it’s legit. I got the Wide wheel Pro. Keyless version On this upgrade version they changed the logo on the board to better looking fonts. It’s almost a month since I have been using it and no problems it’s robust and solid. The breaks are spot on I speed up and never a problem. And people always said wow that’s a cool looking scooter.
