I was there in Cebu for 6 months and had to pay electricity at my place, a one room studio back in 2016, and it was $100/mo. Love the PH and people but couldn't take the daily real feel temperature of 95-105 and 90% humidity. I'm back in the USA with my honey.

I was paying 4K a month in Dumaguete, running Aircon at night in one bedroom and almost all the time in the other. Our current bill in Nashville was 102 bucks for 698 KWH, but 25 bucks of that were service charges and taxes. KWH 11.1 cents per here. Very cheap! Also not very hot!

@@richardroy6179 Very cheap. Actually since we wrecked all our nuclear power plants in Germany I have to pay 38 €-Cent per KwH :) but only 85€ per year service charge. Last year we had to pay 32 €-Cent per KwH but 211€ service charge :)

Im fro Germany, our power is much more expensive ever since our government was smart enough to dismantle our nuclear power plants. Actually I have to pay 0,38€ (0,42$) pro KwH + 85€ service charge per year. Ok, we dont need as much as power in Germany as in the PH. I need round about 1700 KwH per year. In Thailand I need round about 700 KwH per month and I only have one AC. 1 KwH is between 4-5 Baht. I cant remember how much I payd in Davao in February 2024. I only use AC in rooms at temperatures above 30 degrees. I feel most comfortable at 26/27 degrees Celsius.

I also want to contribute to reducing energy bills in the King's Castle 1. Less opening and closing the door of the ref. More people more opening and closing of the door. 2. Check filters make sure they are clean 3. Air escapes through Jalousie Windows - use seal form your energy savings instead of sliced bread. I lived in Miami in the 70s and we had to the same issue and changed windows. 4. Check on little ways to seal the roof. 5. All fails move to Baguio with 2 suitcases max limit.

Strap a dynamo to Fatimas bouncing leg and get a pedal bike/dynamo set up for the others to burn calories and generate electric 🤣

I put a 2.5 HP split aircon in our new built house in 2018 , we also have a well with power pumb 220 Volt plus cooler for sari sari and fridge and 2 tvs and all normal things . I ran that 2.5 hp 24/7 for a month and my bill was just umder 20k , we went to the office and they said pay up lol. I figured out why the power is high here , your meter is supose to be 100 amp but its really only 86 amps .You can get 2 meters so if you are building you should look into that because they wont give you a 200 amp.meter for a house build .This year I put a smaller split in our bedroom and use it mostly , its 1 hp and my bill runs between 5500 to 7500 pesos a month now .

Wow. I haven't got this month's electric bill yet. August electric bill was 3020pesos. In Angeles Pampanga. Running a fridge, rice cooker, lights, fans and the aircon almost all the time. Let's just say when I'm in the condo the aircon is on. So 15 hours a day of aircon and still less than a third of the King's bill. My goodness. I charge phones, laptop, headphones and whatever. The ladies need to shift to the beach to cooldown or something. I get out of the condo during the hottest part of the day. No aircon on during that time.

Here in the midwest, once the corn is up and it gets real hot, the corn starts sweating and it becomes miserable. If you don't run the ac, your house will start to rot. Mold will take over. That's why a house that is left empty for a few years is destroyed very quickly.

Why do the Filipina's get aircon? They born and bred in that crazy heat ,, should be normal for them ,, us Foreigners born and bred in countries with HUMAN temperatures require that aircon

I know you rent but would it be worth it to insulate the roof. Seal up the windows and doors. The hardest thing to do is keep them from leaving the doors open. You are also cooling how many hot people. You are fighting a losing battle. Until they pay for the electric they really don't care. If they pay nothing gets turned on.

Our light bill this month in the province was 11,000 and that was with brown outs. Told my wife they were scamming us lol. When we were in the city we ran ac 24/7 and when we had guest they ran their ac. Monthly bill was 6000-7000 pesos a month....
