Chop & Brew sent me - very nice! I will be glued to this channel. Been thinking a lot about going E-brew in my basement so I can brew when it rains!

nice video brian. I would love a system like yours and one day it might happen. I would like to see or have you talk about the cost and where to buy all the part associated with building a system. I've looked at the prebuild ones and was wondering how much cheaper it is to pay together a system from scratch. cheers

ever use an induction plate instead of the electric burner? I'm sure you could get it up to temp faster with less power used.
@ShortCircuitedBrewers7 жыл бұрын
I have not tried induction, do you use one? I would be interested in hearing how fast you bring your wort to boil? Is it 110v or 220v? let us know.

Short Circuited Brewers I have not, but I have worked in kitchens where it was used. I'm just an extract brewer looking to get into BIAB, hopefully by summer. I'll keep you updated if/when it happens

I've been considering switching to electric for sometime. As a BIAB brewer, this rig may suit my needs: www.williamsbrewing.com/BREWERS-EDGE-MASH-BOIL--P4216.aspx I was considering the Grainfather, but I actually like the simplicity of this unit (no pumps, bells, whistles, or lasers). I may order it very soon. I have a few concerns about the design. Either unit takes away from single vessel brewing ability, BUT no need for propane, freezing, wind, etc. Having the option to brew inside or outside would make life much easier. I'll keep you posted, it is currently "in the cart".

That is a definite plus to an electric system. I think we should look at a "scratch built" option and see what we can come up with to compare to some of the off the shelf options. Cheers!
