They are from Germany, extremely good live and actually on tour (sold out in Europe, the US and Australia). They take themselves not to serious (watch their tour vlogs). What they do is called metal core but they also have serious stuff. I would recommend next Hypa Hypa and Spaceman.

Electric Callboy is a German metalcore/trancecore band from Castrop-Rauxel, founded in 2010 under the name Eskimo Callboy.

They were originally called Eskimo Callboy (changed because Eskimo is a slur). They actually put forward Pump It as a Eurovision song but were denied entry and there was a petition with over 100,000 signatures on it to try and get it in but they still denied them. If they had entered they would have won in my opinion.

The origin of the word "Eskimo" was used to refer to those the colonisers saw as 'eaters of raw meat' etc and it has been agreed since the 1970s that the term Inuit should be used instead

This was exactly the 1 to 1 copy of my reaction when I saw this video for the very first time (We got the moves). I was listening to EC many years ago when they still were "Eskimo Callboy" and lost track of them for maybe 10 years or so. Then the YT algorithm showed me this song and I thought "well yeah, EC, long time no see, what have you been doing for the last years?" and I was blown away as you are. Then I started digging into the rabbit hole and never came back to daylight again. They made a completely different style back in the old days, then got a new singer with Nico and boy... they turned MUCH to the better! They still have their roots in some songs (Hate/Love, Prism ...) but the party core style is the way to go. Cheers me up on my way to work and back home and basically every time I need some happiness. These are dark times (wars all over, political right-shifts and insecurities), I had two fucking bad years with my father dying last year and my son dying this year, but EC gives me a few moments of light every now and then. And so it should be, this is what music should do to us: give positive emotions, even in the most fucked up times. Edit after the Pump It reaction: props to you, I really liked this reaction video. Haven't seen some in a while. Hope you have more reactions to EC (they actually encourage creators to do reaction videos, they even make reaction videos to reaction videos). You deserve subscription and it is well earned. Really like it, not overly hyped, just authentic. Love it so far. Greetings from Hamburg, Germany!

Hi, welcome to the EC club! I just watched them at their last US concert in NYC- We Got The Moves is now their most popular song (over Hypa Hypa, which actually landed them on the globe back in 2020). Nico (the new lead singer) has hinted the band has a love/hate relationship with the song, but they DO dress up for Pump It and We Got The Moves for the stage performances. Pump It is a song made for people who told EC they use their music for exercising- so Pump It literally is about a workout life. 😂😂 Check out Spaceman, which is with a German rapper named Finch, or if you wanna see their original singer Sushi, look up Crystals, their first song.

Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Electric Callboy (formerly known as Eskimo Callboy, but they changed it because they realised, that the word Eskimo is a degenarated term and an insult for the Inuit people) EC are a metalcore (more partycore nowadays) Band from Germany (from the city of Castrop-Rauxel in the Ruhr Area) and they are around for more than 10 years with 6 albums in general. The latest one Tekkno jumped to the first place in the german billboard charts after they released it last year. Hypa Hypa was released in the peak of the Corona pandemic mainly to cheer us up and also to introduce Nico as their new clean vocalist (replacing the old singer Sushi). So mainly EC don't take themself very serious but they take their music and the business very serious and work hard to create awesome music. Most of their songs are goofy and funny, but they also have extremly good dead serious songs like Christals, The Scene or Best day (all three with Sushi on the mic) or with Nico Hate/ Love, Mindreader, Neon or Parasite. If you are new to EC I recommend Hypa Hypa (which started all the fuzz - they had also a collab with several other bands who copied Hypa Hypa in their own style i recommend We butter the bread with butter and also the Saltatio Mortis Version), Pump it, Spaceman, Everytime we touch and many more.

Late to the party, but some facts: The Electric Guitar is made from an actual 25kg plate they show the construction of it in a Making of Video. The Non-Band Bodybuilders on the Hard Section are all Pro Bodybuilders, Patrick Reis is the Big Guy, he was in both Pump It and Moves. The Little Person is a Paralympian powerlifter. And the Lyric is "Look at my Glutes, It's a perfect Butt."
