Electric cars are expensive more than double. If petrol or diesel cars run out of fuel one can bring the fuel from nearby and run car. If electric cars run out of energy you have to tow thevehicle for long distance till charging station and also will take more than 4 to 6 hours,to charge hence you have to be highly alert on power position. Till every nook and corner the charging stations are established it's not convenient to have E.V . Moreover petrol bunks can't keep electric charging units, because even cell phone is prohibited using in bunks. The cost of Maruthi wagon r costs around 4.5 lakhs, the company says they can't produce the same car in e.v less than 11 lakhs. How can a middle income person spend more than double the cost on the same performance vehicle. Even in U.S e.vehicles are not fully utilised and not successful there evenfrom our govt point of view. The govt has to analyse the pros and cons of e.vehicles and slowly introduce them. People can't undergo all the suffering for gov't fantasy just like that, hope people understand.
