Another Sky Rocket II is on its way to America, this time to SeaWorld San Diego! Electric Eel will be the parks tallest and fastest roller coaster, as well as the only ride in the park to take riders upside down!

I'm suprised more of these don't get ordered. It's fun, efficient-especially for a launch coaster, can be assembled in good time, fits in small spaces, still has good height and crazy elements. I wish they'd put one somewhere closer to me. Maybe Six Flags should start getting rid of their Vekoma SLC's and replace them with these.

This was the only coaster I went on there sadly but it was the first premier sky rocket II and I already love them. One thing I like about the queue is that they have some facts about electric eels. It is also the only theming I saw for the entire ride lol

This video is pretty old... But I think Journey to Atlantis is 100% a roller coaster. Yes it has water ride portions, but other coasters have dark ride portions. And if it is not a coaster, WHAT WOULD YOU CALL THE ROLLER COASTER PORTION. A water ride minus water? I just think it shouldn't even be a debate.

This is technically my home park. Though I would love to see something ridiculous added like many of the comments suggest, I personally think this is a great fit. As mentioned in the video, land is an issue at Sea World San Diego. This park doesn't have the space to host a major coaster (not to mention the smaller market and proximity to LA), so considering, this is a great addition!

They could use a sliding station, so two trains can be used. They did that with Zombie Ride at Bosque Mágico, and because of that, it meant you got two ride cycles, since the other train was still loading.

They do have Eels on display in the Ocean Explorer area right near the coaster spot. I imagine they will move them into the cue. They are awesome and creepy to observe.

This seems pretty cool. I think its something they really need. Unfortunately i'm going to california during the summer of 2017 not 2018. I feel like s&s freespins are the new vekoma boomarangs but thats just me. Maybe its too soon to say. I definitely think rmc is the new arrow dynamics. Their rides are a really good the same way arrow dynamics custom looping coasters were back in the day but i don't think they have anything else good up their sleeve. I've heard about the trex coasters but i won't believe it till i see it

A Mack Powersplash would be a good fit for a seaworld park, it's a three launch shuttle coaster with great capacity by turntable station, airtime and a massive splash. There's already one in Belgium

While that is technically true if let's say Orlando added a Powersplash in addition to their current Watercoaster (a flume with a tiny bit of coastertrack) the only things connecting them would be -Splash at some point -Mack Journey to atlantis is essentially a big flume ride, a Powersplash is basically 150ft tall LSM 3 launch shuttle coaster with a splashdown.

They just need something intense (RMC something dammit!), I wished they would jave something in the woods but everytime they expaned they just chopped trees down, preferably a larger path to connect the side (GA Cyclone) with the back (Superman; hate that dead end), and some thrilling flats (huss swing, frisbee, topsin, something!)

Mrmcfat3 I really don't see that as an issue. If I'm not mistaken, the landing pattern for the planes coming in and taking off from SDA is from east to west......so......it shouldn't interfere with Seaworld, given that the park is well to the north. But I guess that's just me

So We Went To Six Flags Fiesta Texas (Home Park Since I Live 7 mins away.) On My Birthday (December 29th) And If you were There That Day, You would've HATED IT! The ONLY Rides That were Open Were, Goliath, Boomerang, Batman: The Ride, SkyScreamer, And Some Family Rides! Iron Rattler, Superman, Poltergeist, And Scream Were Closed. ;( Also When I Went To SFOT, Mr Freeze Was Closed. :P

2018 already looks better than 2017 for coasters. Energylandia hyper, the dive coaster in Europe, SW8, I hope the RMC T-Rex, this, Gale Force, 2 Cedar Fair RMC's, possibly a Canada's Wonderland B&M and whatever Six Flags does (probably multiple 4D's, but it's better than nothing)

Eels don't launch, however. Eels barely ever move fast. I suppose it could be a simulation of launching electricity but even then, it doesn't shoot out of the eel's skin. It's stated in the press release video, IIRC, that the coaster was meant to "simulate" the "Slithering movement" of an electric eel, which, albeit, makes 0 sense, but still. hell the electric eel isn't even an eel, it's a knife fish.

Electricity has no effect on launches theme-wise and vice versa. It could kind of simulate an electric shock but other than that I see no effect.

The name sounds too familiar to Steel Eel at SeaWorld San Antonio. They should give both this coaster and Steel Eel the same name just like Manta in Orlando and San Diego. They both have the same name but yet they are completely different coasters.
