Sir can you please explain me how electric field in current carrying conductor is constant.When we derive the formula for drift velocity electric field is taken as constant but we know that electric field is distance dependent. Sir please clear my doubt

sir namaste 🙏 .I have a little bit confuson about if we put the conductor inside a external electric field then the electric field inside the conductor is zero.In normal case if we do not put the conductor inside an electric field then what is the value of electric field inside the conductor.Is it always valid that charge inside the conductor is zero ?

charge inside any conductor must be zero provided we are dealing with electrostatics because if charge was not zero inside conductor there would be an electric fluc through any gaussian surface inside conductor and if there is flux then there is field lines and we know in electrostatics there are no field lines inisde conductor

In a conductor the extra charge goes inside the conductor but if it is a less conductive material like wood or plastic then the electrons can't move inside the material because there they don't have free electrons so these immobile electrons repel extra electron came on the material that's why extra charge stays on surface

Just look at the formula, F=QE Q is negatively charged F=-QE Force= negative __ means force is acting in opposite direction. I hope it is clear

I think, we know that electric field comes out from +ve to -ve and also initially atoms of conductor was neutral so when electric field was inside the conductor then a force will experience by the atoms of the conductor and electron will moves towards the tail of the electric field lines and protons moves towards head of the electric field lines,and finally there will be charge separation inside the conductor where all +ve charge will lie on the right side inside the conductor and all the -ve charge will lie in the left side of the conductor and finally an opposite electric field will be produced inside the conductor and that will try to cancel the external electric field which we have assumed here....As long as the electric field doesn't gets zero inside the conductor the charges will move and create electric field and thereby one point will reach where electric field gets zero inside the conductor. Please correct me if i'm wrong with explanation.
