I do have advice for airports.. the two largest international hub airports in michigan are DTW and GRR. there are a few other options tho. -michigander ik i’m late to comment but for those who come next year.

Just take it easy! It’s always nerve racking the first day, especially with a camping festival but by the second and third day you’ll feel like you’ve lived there forever 😆

I'm going solo this year and I found your video to be the most helpful yet! I've been to festivals before, but not camping and not solo! (friends aren't interested and wife couldn't come). Hoping I'm by some good people (I'm sure I will be!). I'm mainly worried about maintaining energy throughout the whole thing, not getting too hot or lost and bringing enough food since I have some severe food allergies.

Awe well happy my video helped you ! My group adopted a lone camper at Okeechobee so I’m sure a group you camp next to will adopt you too! Meeting people will help boost your energy but also don’t feel bad if you need to excuse yourself and take a nap on one of the hammocks in the forest. There’s a lot of chill spots to escape to. And with the food, I would say since you have allergies, bring more but be okay with throwing some out at the end. It sucks but I always end up wasting food. But also, Forest food vendors usually have a lot of different options depending on your restrictions. They will come out with a list of the food vendors when the fest gets closer so you can plan better. Happy Forest 😊

Hi fellow Minnesotan here! & first timer at EF!! How in-depth do they do security checking? you mentioned they check your cooler and ask questions but just curious as to how much they look through your vehicle, thanks!

Hello MN friend!! They do not go in depth at all, like they won't make you take everything out of the car. They will make everyone step out of the car and have security workers do a look, along with the drug/bomb dog. They may move around a few things but they're not gonna be digging deep into pockets and such. But like I said, the dog that sniffed our car seemed super tired and didn't seem to be doing it's job (which could be good or bad depending on how you look at it). But also for drugs, weed is legal in Michigan (and now MN woo) so I wouldn't think that would be a problem?? At Okee, the car in front of me got busted for weed but that's Florida. But yes, hide your glass. They took people's pickle jars and mirrors lol

Cell/internet service is always better before 9am in the morning! Otherwise, it is spotty for social media. I’m a 6 year EF veteran with Verizon. ✌🏼🫶🏼⚡️🌲

It's rural Michigan, the cell net is never gonna be prepared. So just plan on your phone having basically no connection most of the time.
