If you run into this problem.... open up the pendant and remove the up down switches. Remove the two screws that hold the switch together and split the switch into two halves. You will see the contactor tips. Remove the terminals and the contactors will be accessible so you can file them and clean them. The motor won't start because of the way these dumbasses wired the capacitor through the contactors (dumb idea). Anyway if the contactors are fouled then the capacitor can't start the motor.

Good afternoon, could you tell me what capacitor I need for a 1300 pound, 110 V winch like the one shown in the video, I bought it at Harbor Freight 2 years ago, I took it to South America but it never works, it just sounds trac trac and a hum. Thank you

The switch has two lines, neutral and line This problem is because one of the lines is not connected I had the same problem and solved it

same here lol, looking for the problem EDIT: mine was an easy fix, flip the auto stop a couple of times, worked fine then

@@Per409 Yes........ I just bought this unit and it does the same thing! It would go Down, but not UP. I hit the "Auto Stop" lever then it worked. I haven't fooled with it yet, but it seems the problem may be in the " Auto Stop" mechanism! Just a thought.

@@johnkosick1464 Had mine 3 maybe 4 years it's still doing fine, i know one thing, i couldn't do without one of these now, they're great for lifting the front/back of riding mowers.

When your hoist goes down, but not up, check the autostop metal square loop, through which the cable goes. It can be misaligned, and the cable rubbing on it too much. When hoist cable goes down, it will not create a problem, as it rubs and pushes down on the autostop's square metal loop. As long as the autostop is pushed down it creates no problem. But when the cable travels up, it rubs on the autostop square metal loop, and drags it up. Autostop square metal loop being brought up by cable just half inch is enough for the hoist to stop working. When cable goes up, your hoist autostop square metal loop through which cable travels, must not go up at all, then the hoist will keep hoisting. Align the autostop's metal loop and all should be good. I heard, that sometimes technicians would replace the autostop spring to a bit stronger one, that also helps against cable not pulling autostop up uneededly

Trese Capacitor connection wair in motor connection box or controller stick in my machine capacitor wire disconnected in controller stick.. I soul this problem...
