There is something so unique, and as another replier here said, "magical" about Jeff Lynne and ELO that has aged like the finest wine. Many of the same 1970s critics who panned them are doing full turnaround reassessments these days. Now they are calling Jeff a "musical genius". Us longtime fans are having the last laugh.

I'm 58. ELO and Supertramp have been my two favourite bands since I was 13. Once I had kids I exposed them to both groups and a bunch of other 1970s and '80s rockers. Livin' Thing was one of the few songs that I would play on cassette (later CDs) in the car during a long vacation journey and all four of my young kids would sing the chorus together. Made me feel so good to turn other people (albeit a captive audience) on to ELO and Supertramp.
