just bought this for $130 from Sam's club. Thanks for the only review I could find on YT. There are plenty for the older model, but not for the ePX3500.

If I am using this washer and release the trigger will it urn off? If I leave the trigger off without using the unit will it do any mechanical damage to the unit? I bought one exactly like this at Lowes but have not used it yet.
@TheLawnEngineer10 ай бұрын
It will automatically turn off to prevent damage.

I’ve watched your videos on the Evage unit and the Westinghouse unit many times. I really enjoyed the job you did. I’m looking at getting the combination of pressure washer and surface cleaner that you demonstrated. My application will be my courtyard area of about 1,000 sf. The specs on the concrete tiles require a max of 3,000 psi from a pressure washer. So I don’t know how much the psi drops off from the rated 2,500 to the actual psi at the spray nozzles of the surface cleaner. Is there a way to back into rated psi from desired psi at the spray? Again, thank you.
@TheLawnEngineer8 ай бұрын
I think this setup will be perfect for cleaning concrete tiles. It's difficult to give a perfect answer to this because there are quite a few variables. The flow rate, nozzle angle, and distance from the surface will all factor in to how much energy is transferred to the concrete tiles. This electric pressure washer has a relatively low flow rate compared to most gas powered units rated at the same pressure. That means it can impart less energy to the surface, which is a lower cleaning power but less ability to damage also.

Will this one strip paint as well? I need to do that on my deck railings
@TheLawnEngineer Жыл бұрын
it will remove loose paint. More powerful pressure washers will just perform the job faster because you can use a wider fan nozzle and cover a larger area with the same cleaning power. Anyway, paint removal from wood is a difficult task. There is a fine line to remove the paint and not damage the wood. If the paint is stuck well, the fine line is nearly impossible to navigate with a pressure washer.

1# rule never let idle more than one Minute without squeezing trigger or you will burn up pump

Another benefit of this little guy, the motor/pump auto starts-stops with trigger pulls.

I thought this applied to gasoline pumps only.

I just purchased one of these power washers and the nozzle extension that attaches to the pressure nozzles leaks like crazy. It sprays water back in my face, and I cannot tighten it. This part was put together in the factory so everything that I attached is doing fine it’s the nozzle extension that is Leaking like a sieve
@TheLawnEngineer2 ай бұрын
That’s unfortunate, I did not have that experience. Is it where the nozzle fits at the end of the wand?
@calebfargal73239 ай бұрын
Thanks for your review! There’s so little info out there on the newer EXP3500 model. Do you have any pressure readings using the various nozzles that were included? And if so, any readings on a 2.5mm or 3mm orifice nozzle as well? Any GPM tests you’ve done with the different nozzles as well?
@TheLawnEngineer9 ай бұрын
Thank you. I haven’t done any pressure or flow testing but that would be a great video.

Hey appreciate the review, but I have a question. How do you turn up the pressure on the machine? Is it the knob on the front? I just got one and got it mainly to wash my cars, and it just wasn’t giving off enough pressure.
@TheLawnEngineer10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately there is no adjustment on pressure, the button is simply on/off. What nozzle are you using? Is suggest the yellow one for a car wash. The other option is to spray the soap and use a car wash brush to loosen the dirt. The pressure washer alone will not remove stubborn dirt, especially road tar.
@dustinbowen596211 ай бұрын
Thank you for the video. Question, do you think that pressure washer is strong enough to clean concrete without a surface cleaner? Did you try that or no?
@TheLawnEngineer11 ай бұрын
Yes I did try it and it works well. More pressure/flow will do the job faster because you can use a wider nozzle or hold the nozzle further away to cover more surface area with the same cleaning power. This unit is still strong enough to damage concrete if you use the red nozzle and hold it close.

What type of garden hose do I need to purchase to use with this?
@TheLawnEngineer8 ай бұрын
Any standard 1/2" or 5/8" garden hose will do. The key is to avoid kinks, you don't want to starve the unit of water. On larger pressure washers with higher flow rates you would want to stick with a 5/8" garden hose but this one just requires 2.5 gallons per minute.

How do you empty and clean the soap tank? It doesn't seem to be removable. I appreciate any advice.
@TheLawnEngineer5 ай бұрын
You are correct, you can’t remove the soap tank. I just rinse it with the hose and let it overflow.
@GHoney7775 ай бұрын
When you are done using the soap tank, you fill it with water and then run the power washer until the soap tank is empty, essentially flushing it out.

Forget the pressure cleaner, look at those strips on your lawn from the Luba 😊😂 I'm in Australia and the luba is available from $3 thousand Australian Id love you to do another follow up review on it Is it really worth it? Have you any complaints and would you buy it again. Thanks friend.

I am loving the little robot mower, I feel free from the burden of mowing the lawn. I plan on doing a fall update on it, in the next couple of weeks. I can't pass full judgement (value wise) until I know how long it will operate without failure...so far so good. It is not ready for the masses but if you are tech savvy and patient you can make it work for you. The stripes are definitely better than I could ever do; perfectly straight and equally spaced.

There is no trick to it, they should all fit in the same way. Maybe there is some dirt in the quick connect? I would try washing it out.

I've never used a pressure washer, and when I move in to my new house in 2 weeks, it's on my to-buy list, but I have a question: you said 'I have the soap nozzle in' and then you started using the washer. Is there a button you have to press somewhere on the unit that tells it to mix the soap with the water? And do you think this will work to wash a wooden deck? Another reason to wash your car yourself: the automatic washers, depending on how they are designed and how flimsy your front license plate is, that front plate can get bent when the front brushes open and close. Who knew? Not me, that's for sure. Thank you.
@TheLawnEngineer Жыл бұрын
To pull soap from the tank, you have to use the black “soap” nozzle. There is no button, simply switch nozzles. This is required for all pressure washers I have used. This Westinghouse unit would be perfect for a wooden deck.
