Electric rewind is faster!

Are electric rewind hose reels worth it? This video shows me reeling up 300' of chemical hose in under two minutes.

Been using Hannay electric 45 + years. Still have same reel Only replaced the chain & electric rewind motor all these years! You wouldn't regret it! Used day in day out spraying orchards and landscapes.

If a solenoid or switch goes bad can you still role it up manually?

I routinely roll in about 200 feet every 30 min all day long. An electric option would be lovely but I just don't think my company would bite for one lol.

Explain to your company the hazard of a repetitive motion injury from winding hose all day long. Tendinitis in your wrist or shoulder can be quite serious (I had an employee at a previous job lose his job after not returning to work due to a work-related tendinitis injury in his shoulder). The time savings and the potential savings from a work comp claim could be well worth it.

@@MimizAntrax exactly!. And try doing it With three or four hose reels three or four times a day. Over 700 feet each time !!Then we will see who is faster, LOL.
