It would be nice to make a Evo Drag Scoot. I have some mechanical/design drawings I'd like to make into production but don't have the machining equipment to do it, like your products and designs keep putt'in in the work as we as a community will purchase products so thats what makes our scooters unique. Looking for the next video Keep Up The Good Work.

It'd be cool if someone sold mounting/adapter kits for all kinds of GY6 based mopeds, make ones or electric conversions, honda gx small engine conversions, etc.
@georgeforeman89 Жыл бұрын
The problem is the cost- it's why none of these have been mass produced. New rear wheel mounting solution/swing arm and a way to add suspension (difficult to engineer), need to add the motor mount onto the swing arm, design a rear wheel sprocket or belt drive and mount it to a wheel- the wheel will probably have to be custom, too. Then add a high discharge battery pack, a controller, and mounting solutions for those, and a new wiring harness. The cost would be massive. You could do it DIY for way cheaper if you know how to weld, but getting all the parts machined by a company like send/cut/send would be insanely expensive too.
@thegentlemansmith54112 жыл бұрын
I'm hoping this is still in play, I am eyeing a 2009 ruckus with a blown motor for $1500...I have no idea if that's cheap or not lol but figure I can start breaking it down and hopefully this does become a kit, I've done the 48v razor rsf650 and mx650, but need something cooler like this!

Just add to your knowledge, you can't use regen braking when your battery is absolutely full. The way around this is to never charge your battery to the top or to design a circuit that bleeds off the regen energy into a giant resistor when it detects the batteries can't take anymore.
@maukaman Жыл бұрын
I’m always surprised that bleed resistor circuits to prevent re-gen overcharging aren’t more common. In fact I still don’t think I’ve ever seen a PEV with one. Seems like it’d be a simple solution doesn’t it?
@rdmevX Жыл бұрын
@@maukaman it depends on the amount of energy. If we're talking about a ruckus, it's a few hundred watts to a few kilowatts, but if we're talking about a car, the resistor would be gigantic.

Greetings!. I'm curious if you guys are in the market to build a swing arm for a ruckus electric conversion using a 12-in hub motor. I would prefer to buy one from you than build it myself since my fabrication skills are more on the electrical side than the machining side. And of course I would suitably promote it on my KZbin channel (I know it's a small channel but hopefully we'll grow)

Quick question, if you made this fully electric and therefore assume street legal in regards to emissions, would you have to even notify the DMV? Considering you actually improved the entire bike as far as removing the gas, exhaust, and minimized overall maintenance. I would think you would be good.👍

dont forget that they under rate motors because they will burn out faster running them at higher amps/volts and all that but any motor can go faster by over volting them and higher amps but they are not rated to last long if you do that.I would buy a 12kw or 20kw motor and running reliably that way at pretty much all speed needed to run the Ruckus, I talked to a motor supplier that sells a 12kw motor continues with the controller the disc brakes and temperature sensor shipped all for 1,699 that is a steal for that strong of a motor plus all the things needed and would not have to worry about over volting it or higher amps that will run on 72-96 volts nominal .Because one reason I did not get into the Ruckus before was there slow speed even upgrading it to get about 60-70mph all the cost and things just to get it that speed was way to much for the low speed just to keep up with traffic but now that good electronic motors are coming out more often it opens up a hole new ball game and want to start my own setup on one.
