Electric skateboard specs - Does the top speed matter?

I agree with importance of break but I do think the top speed is also important. I had Ownboard carbon that tops out 26mph. At first that was enough power but it quickly feels slow over time. Now I have Onsra black carve, It gives me respect for the board and excitement at the same time I only reached 32mph once with hard bushings. And it can go 35mph. Just knowing that I have the power will keep me from searching for other boards and be satisfied. Even with hard bushings, it carves so well.

People care far too much about top speed. For many, they don't even go top speed but still want a higher top speed to boast lol. Great short 👌🏼

For me top speed is so important, I want to ride at least 50kmph, it is not fun if you have to go slow

I’m happy at 25-30 mph max. Speed limit in my area is 20-30mph except one road that is 40 but has a bike lane next to it so I could easily just use that.

Comfort and features. They all go fast these days. I wish they would focus more on comfort and features. Who cares about extra speed these days when they all can reach 25.
