That rear coupling design is the best I've seen on an electric to gas conversion.

nice job. Another way is to count the teeth in the spline for a L-095 SERIES 5/8" 9 TOOTH SPLINE JAW COUPLING HALF. Makes connections easier, then just use a level for a straight connection to avoid wear. Love your videos buddy.

Howdy. Putting a 212 into an old EZ Go. Looking at 5:45 or so, the U-bolts going around the axle. Do you cinch those down good and tight or leave 'em where they can swivel?
@ChrisfromKeyfarm2 жыл бұрын
I tightened them down pretty tight, though not ridiculously tight and then as heavy as the engine plate is, it will move the little bit it needs to. Definitely no slop, snug fit.

Any way you can show us your accelerator setup, from pedal to engine? I've got a gas conversion on which the previous owner had Jerry rigged the accel cable, I've been trying to brainstorm a better way.
@ChrisfromKeyfarm7 ай бұрын
This easygo had a rod that was hooked to the accelerator that comes back to the engine compartment and I made it so that rod will pull a cable .I could send you a picture.

Have you considered a stage 3 upgrade for the 212?
@ChrisfromKeyfarm4 жыл бұрын
No, not really, if I want more power I'll go with the 13hp 420cc , it's got electric start and would be much more reliable power.

Hello! Where did you find that rear sprocket? I like the fact that you can screw it into the keyed sprocket and change out as needed.

The hub and sprocket on it currently came from tractor supply, the first one was from eBay.

I'm building a 89 ez go cart. It was a 2 stroke I've purchased a 212 Should I use a 30 series? Or try to make the factory driver work
@ChrisfromKeyfarm4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure without looking at it, and since mine was electric it was a different setup , however I will say this, these companies spend a lot of money on research and development, so use as much of the original stuff as you can because we know it has been tested thoroughly.
@TACOMASRT54 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisfromKeyfarm yes I agree but I did just find out that the factory engine was 11 horsepower and a 2 stroke and I'm installing a six and a half 4 stroke

Reverse is currently a 185 pound man ( me ) pushing. However there is a gearbox available for about $120.00 that could be added with just a little fabrication.

this torque converter has been great it still has the bushing in it and it's still on the first belt and I can't see anywhere on it. just the other day I was pulling my son on a riding lawn mower he didn't appreciate going 18 miles an hour but I had fun.
