At MD Deathfest 2012 they kept teasing Funeralopolis with the intro to every song, by riffing without distortion for a few licks. The magnificent bastard.

Incredible tune. So much involved on what you think is simple. As always so much more going on to what you can hear. Thank you for taking the time to pull it apart. That 35rt sounds huge, is there much of a jump in tone from the 20 watt?
@DoesItDoom3 жыл бұрын
The tone here is coming from the SF300 more than the amp for sure. I liked both the 20 and the 35RT. For direct recording like this there isn’t much difference, but the 35 is bigger sounding in the room.

Great content my man...you are always spot on with your interpretation/cover of these songs,.. seemingly effortless... I was wondering... do you play in a band yourself or have any solo stuff recorded that is available to hear? BTW it would be interesting to hear you and Jason from Fuzzlord putting some songs down together....maybe a possibility in the future?

Thanks man! Wish I had more time to play guitar for fun but tbh so much work goes into all of the content that I rarely have time for much else. When I do it’s usually just some drone improv these days. Jason and I have talked about getting together and jamming; I’m sure it will happen someday.

Hey Steve, you have experience over a couple of Gibson and Epiphone guitars. Have you had to file nuts or do something with the bridges when you have gone up with string gauge? I have Gibson and Epi both and would like to try set of 12s but I'm not at all interested at modifying my guitars and would like to avoid it if possible. I like loose feel and normally use 10s for d-standard. I'm thinking C or B standard with the 12s.
@DoesItDoom3 жыл бұрын
Yes, typically you need to file the nut once you reach 12’s. I take my guitars to a luthier to have the nut slots filed when needed. I would pick a guitar and dedicate it to downtuning. Have a luthier file out the slots. It’s no big deal and you can replace the nut entirely if you want to go back.

@@ariomvitoria9936 I have a 24.75 scale guitar I've kept in B standard for a while and just recently set up in Bb with 13-65s and it sounds great and stays in tune.
