It pissed me off when some people said "How could they have fallen in love, they hardly spoke to eachother". Only people who haven't experienced a deep connection with someone would say that. 10 years ago I was 21 and watched this movie with a girl who became my girlfriend a few days later. She had been into me for at least 1 year prior to that but I didn’t want to be with her. I was kind of depressed though and she was thinking the world of me. She thought I was cool, intelligent, hot, funny.. So I eventually said yes and we were together for 2 years after that. And for the first time in my life someone was loving me in an absolute way. For the first time, as weird as this sentence is going to sound, I knew what being truly loved by a mother felt like. She eventually broke up with me to get married with someone sharing her Jewish faith. It didn’t end really well but we knew from the beginning that this relationship was not possible. And to be honest that was one of the reasons why I said yes in the first place. Nonetheless it really hurt when it ended, she had given me so much confidence by loving me in such an unconditional way that I was lost without her. It took me some time to get over her and even more time to fix my biggest personal problems. They have been married for 7 years now and have just welcomed a baby in their lives. And I have been with a very cool girlfriend for 4 months now, my first real one since this one. I wanted to be with her this time and I do really like the idea of spending a few decades with her. What I know for sure though, is that finding yourself is the main goal you should pursue in life. Loving yourself before anyone else is the one most important thing. Be nice and gentle with yourself. Get help if you’re struggling. I waited to be 28 to go see a psychoanalyst and that was way too late. When I went it changed my life and helped me in a way I was not even hoping it would. Most of people are dope, they just don’t know it because they are too busy and blinded to figure it out. If you’re a kid reading this, enjoy life man. Do everything you want and love yourself, listen to yourself. Do what you want and enjoy every second. You are to yourself the most important person on this planet. Never forget it. Be your own rockstar, exercice, eat well, it will make you feel amazing ! Your whole life will change. Don’t lose time. I feel like I was lost for most of my 20’s and I hope that if you read this comment, it will ignite something in you and make you have the best possible life

The heart breaking moment after the elevator kiss. I believe he knew that was the last time he will kiss her and when he smashed the mans skull in, he destroyed any chance to be w her. Saving her and destroying the relationship. Seeing it and seeing it again is heart breaking.

if you want it to be even more heartbreaking, there are interpetations/theory about the kiss not being real both as a logical action when he knows there is a dangerous guy right next to them and in how the scene is shot, lights, camera angle, etc

This movie and this soundtrack helped me so much as a teenager. When I felt inadequate around my peers. I never felt comfortable even among my friends so most of the time I was on the side, listening to music and there was this girl too I felt She was way above me. I felt depressed and I thought I was supposed to be the opposite that I had to force myself to be like the other. Party, smoke and all that bs. Then I watched this movie with my brothers and I felt connected to the MC and I understood I had to be myself, his stoicism and reserved nature was so much like me. And turns out the girl liked me for that fact. I wasn't like my friends. So I got the girl and She asleep next to me right now 10 + years ago. Ryan Gosling became one of my favorite actors at that moment.

25/9/2022 I just watched Drive and man what a suspenseful and action packed film... Ryan Gosling and Bryan Cranston smashed their roles and performances and so did everyone else. It really was a thrill of a ride wherever the driver went I felt like I was with him. Felt sorry for him in the end because his passion of driving and having a car was caught up with the wrong people who were using his talent of driving to set up robberies and commit crime making him lose those closest to him. But the ending caught me off guard. It was a quick and short film which I wasn't expecting but 10/10 apart from that. DRIVE I love that film now still blown away and taken back. Also the music hits my taste and era of music I enjoy : 60/70s/80s/synthwave music.

I knew the song before I knew the movie. I only found out last night while watching this was the main track to it - perfection. Absolutely fantastic movie and the soundtrack is just beautiful. Nothings perfect, but this song and that movie come close ❤️👏
