Hello design community, I need an advice. Im basically Electrical Engineering Graduate in 2008 from Osmania Univ. have 13 yrs of construction site experience in Buildings, Oil & Gas in UAE .... I have always been interested in Engineering & technical activities, calculations, designing. At site work Im not getting opportunity to perform these tasks. Hence I have decided to work as Electrical Design engineer. Request everyone to advice how to get into Electrical design with 13 yrs site construction experience..

I just have a 2 year in Electrical Engineering and a 2 year in Industrial Machine Technology. Just accepted my first position as an Electrical and Instrumentation Designer at 22.

You can start as a electrical cad drafter its similar and you just need a high school diploma or GED. You don't always need a 4 yr Degree or a 2 yr Associates to work as one. You can work your way into design after work for 2 to 3 years. Tho if you get more education that is accredited it can help you get into electrical design fast and hopefully positive affect how much you will get paid.

How many salary is in America or Europe in design of electrical? Is it possible to work distancently?

Western Europe between 3000-6000 Euros/month and some company's offer distance but usually you have to be experienced a few years and have education. But of course that is possible, if you just Google it you will find many results, company's that are looking for new employees, about north America i don't know much but I know that USA has other electric standards but Canada is more similar to Europe in some ways. It doesn't hurt to call companys and ask, i recommend it. It also can depend on where you live for not all countries are friends unfortunately.
