In Islanding condition, all machine was running in parallel, all machine was running droop mode, when we tried to synchronise grid in that bus through synchronisation trolley, power swing happen due to asynchronous closing. operator checked all permissive and given closing command once synch check relay pick up in manual mode. My question is asynchronous closing of alternator kab hoga??

If we change the excitation then magnitude of voltage changes but what happen to its phase?

Does not change phase . Because phase depends on the physical location of winding.
