Do electrical desulfators have any merit or are they just a waste of time if you already have a digital trickle charger ? I would also be interested in your thoughts on the chemical (MGSO4) based so called " restorers".

If you want a high performing house battery bank, check out Vmaxtanks AGM Deep Cycle batteries. They are true deep cycle AGMs and offer one of the highest cycle count ratings.

Has nothing to do with electrical systems just waaay too much detail about batteries...

How does a battery have nothing to do with an electrical system? And this video is only 10 minutes long; part 1 of a series on electric systems. When I was in college, I had to take an entire semester on electrical distribution systems, including multiple classes on batteries (like 6 hours total). I found this to be a good basic introduction for the layman about the one piece of equipment that could leave you stranded at sea.... This video could actually use some MORE detail about why you shouldn't use one type in place of the other, what deep cycle actually means, why you shouldn't use automotive batteries, how to care for the batteries, maybe load testing, and how to tell when a battery is going bad.... Great comment though, just way too many a's in the word way.
