The Electric Bike Technologies Electric T3 CX Trike is a performance trike with a focus on speed as well as stability with narrow tires, recumbent seating position, and chromoly frame design. Open platform allows you to swap battery sizes, adjust the top speed and amp flow to change performance vs. efficiency, large bright display panel is easy to work with. A nice SRAM GX derailleur, triple ring setup for 21 gearing combinations, 2 mechanical disc brakes, a parking brake, motor inhibitor, and reliable electrical system. The display panel is mounted more securely but you have to glance away from the road to read it, the grip shift is difficult to actuate with pinky and ring fingers, and it is somewhat heavy and hard to maneuver in tight spaces.

I have added this to my bucket list. But. my wife says the only way we can afford this bike.. is, if I kick the bucket. Hopes she enjoys it.

The trike is great! We need more offroad capacabilities and thatswhy chose another one. Anyway. The technique to lift up or low down is great. Without any question it's an awesome trike!

Couldn’t tell if you were clipped in or not but on a trike you really want to be. If your foot comes off the pedal at speed it could get dragged under the trike. They call it “leg suck”. Neat trike I ride a non electric trike, love it.

HA! got that beat; HP Velotechnik Scorpion with 1000W 52V Bafang BBHD drive system 21WH battery, Shimano Ultegra Di2, Shimano 7000 series push-button shifting, 54 T Chainring, Schwalbe Marathon tires. Shimano XTR hydraulic 4 pot brakes XTR levers, Rear brake Avid BB7 is my parking brake. HP full carbon seat with wings, and rear suspension...Yea after 40 years on an upright bike, a recumbent trike is so much more comfortable, fun, and I can cruise 25 to 28mph. Indirect steering is far better feeling and more comfortable than direct. 26" rear wheel 20" upfront. It's the only way to go :)

It would help if you gave the gear inch range of the trike. That measurement tells me a lot about its climbing ability and potential crusing or top speed. For this trike, the gear inch range calculates to about 18.75 for low to around 95 on the high end. This trike would be a good hill climber as well as a hgh speed cruiser.

You're backwards on torque vs. chainring size. The high-torque gear is the 32-tooth chainring; high-speed is 52-tooth. Hopefully it's just a mis-speak...

I would be interested in an e trike, but it seemed like most of the focus was on the throttle.

After 4 minutes i was disappointed. First of all, this isnt made for speed at all, 20 Inch wheel in the back is way to ineffizient, i would rather take a 26Inch wheel. The seat also is more like for comfort then for performance the dampening from the mesh takes a lot of energy that you otherwise could invest in speed. And last but not least the direkt steering is way to sensitive for higher speeds. But all this is all well if you think that 25km/h is "high speed" so go for it and you will be happy, but what bothered me the most was the explanation for torque on the pedals. If you follow his recommendations and push harder because you can push against the seat then you will destroy your knees, this is a well known problem and the reason why good recumbent trikes have a much larger range of gears so you can pedal with higher speed rather higher torque. So dont destroy your knees by following his instructions and buy something like the Velomo HiTrike if you want performance...

Trikes are slow, with or without e assist. If you're seeking speed, get a velomobile.

You say although sponsored content, you will ""try to be honest.." Cant you actually be honest not just "try "? Not at all confidence inspiring, especially directly after letting us know that you are paid by the bike manufacturers in addition to your viewers data ( otherwise known as targeted youtube advertising )
