Electricity Bill Scam Alert | Fraud Alert- New Online Scam | Tips for Avoiding Online Fraud

Electricity Bill Scam - Have you got a message as "electricity bill has not been paid and the connection will be terminated, to avoid click on the link provided in the message" - Beware of this new electricity scam! Such messages are usually sent over Whatsapp or SMS. When users out of fear click on the link provided the hacker hacked their mobile or computer screen and get all the access of their system and easily robbed them.
Today technology is playing a major role in our life. Everything is digital and making payments are no exception. Online Payment, Digital payment apps, and Net banking is a very common mode of payment nowadays. We hardly carry any cash or card and prefer to do all payments using various payment apps. But the question is how safe is online payment?

How we can save ourselves form online cybercrime-
1) Do not click on any random link that you received on Whatsapp or SMS.
2) If you have a doubt regarding electricity bill payment then go to the official website and from there contact customer care.
3) Always make online payments through the authentic portal.

Yes, I Received it today and I have clicked and installed the link they sent it but id did not tell any OTP or code and also dint pay any amount to them and I received so many OTP's from Amazon, Paytm and phonepay...sir pls pls tell me what to do now ?
