This is a Soviet electric I-24. In the 60-ies of the twentieth century, on the territory of the USSR, this type of planer, together with the I-25 model, was most widespread.
Knives are attached to the surface of the rotor, which in the electric bank serves as a working (knife) shaft. The electric ballast operates from a 220 V lighting network. The motor is asynchronous, three-phase with a short-circuited rotor.
The weight of this unit is not small 15 kg.
