One context that splitting the effect and dry out can be used: Sending the fuzz to a guitar amp, bass to a bass amp to maintain clarity on the bass and mids. Also just two bass amps with different levels or a mixer, to establish just how much fuzz you want in your signal.

I have one of these and it sounds awful with everything I do with it. No idea why it’s not the amp or bass as both are fine with other pedals Mine don’t sound like that. It’s more weak and just sounds like a constant dying battery even on mains via a psu
