What you and everybody need to realize is that the very young people that are able to do amazing things like this and produce absolute masterpieces are the odd ones out. They're so talented at just a young age, but that doesn't mean that everybody else doesn't have potential to do the exact same thing! It doesn't really matter if it takes you 6 months or 6 years, being able to accomplish something like this IN GENERAL is just insane. I myself am [NOT GIVING AWAY MY AGE] years old currently and interested in music, and I constantly feel like I just got a late start to life. I started practicing guitar when I was 8, but now I've kind of moved on to piano. Guitar is still a "hobby" of mine, but I mainly play piano now. I've read some fascinating articles about people that are piano connoisseurs at 6 years old or stuff like that, but that's not me. I only started playing piano a year ago! But I know that I am still young and have a long way to go, but I also have a lot of time to do it. I only have faith that I will accomplish great things when I get older, and if I do that, I will be content. Umm...but sorry for going on a really long rant. I just felt like doing this. :) (year old late comment tho let's go)
