Totally agree. I did a ton of research, finally got over anslysis paralysis and got the 30m. It arrived Thursday, used it on Friday's gig. So nice to not need an external mixer, table etc. Solo sax/singer. Stream my tracks, use the app for control. It sounds great snd can get loud. Im a happy camper.

Awesome! It’s a great system and I know you’ll get tons of good use from it. Definitely worth the price.

I looked for years to find a system that would reproduce my keyboards accurately. If the board was putting out Steinway B through headphones, I just think it oughta present that to the listeners as well. I've tried QSC, Yamaha, JBL. Nada. I had an Ev30m that I used with my guitar and vocals in a mono setup. I just thought, what the heck, I'll try it. Hooked up my board to the EV. A little bit of eq later, Steinway B showed up. I play keysboard stereo because I layer and pan subsequent layers left and right. It REALLY opens up the sound stage. I bought another EV 30M. I'm just happy as a clam. It's hell being this picky. LOL Expensive too.

I totally understand about being picky. Glad you found a system that really checks all the boxes for you. This one definitely delivers for me and I too want another one😂

Are you able to use two of these 30m units together?
@thechristinedemeo3 ай бұрын
@@JohnnyMcPro Yes, you can use two of these together. There are few different ways to do that. I will be using two together with a separate digital mixer in two weeks. Maybe I can do a quick video demo. Hope this helps!

I’m about to pull the trigger on one and was thinking of the 50 m

I’ve owned the EV 50m and it was great. I personally just found it to be over kill for most of my gigs and also too heavy with the 12 “ sub over time. So I switched to the 30 and have had no regrets! Good luck and I’m sure whichever you choose will be great. 😊

Hey, Christine. Great video - thanks! Now, I'm not a gear-guy, so please forgive if this is a simple question...(didn't say "stupid question" LOL!). Regarding the 15 versus 48 volt phantom power issue, if I had the Evolve 30M, and normally do NOT have a need for phantom power, but a guy sits in with a mic that DOES require this, are there devices (pre-amps?) that he can run through using my 30M that will do the trick?

😂 this is not a “simple” question. It’s a good one! He can definitely run through a preamp. Here’s one that I found real quick and there are others that may be cheaper. a.co/d/5O7Ycdp

OK, just poked around and I see the sources for exactly this - external phantom power devices, very low cost. All good. Looks like the 30M for me. Thanks again.

Hi - you mentioned using this for duos or trios. Was wondering if you'd ever had a bass plugged into it for a small bar gig? My guess is that the bassist would still want to play through their own amp, but I was just curious because it would make my life a bit easier if both of us were going through the EV

I’ve used this system with my trio (drums, bass and guitar) but only push the vocals, kick and tracks through it with that particular set up. Then other times I’ve had my e-kit through This system with the other stuff too and it did fine. If you’re an acoustic trio I would say go ahead and put your bass through. It should be able to carry the load but that’s for smaller gigs for sure. If you had two I bet you could definitely use this and have no problem.
