A video like this has been historically very hard to find--most tend to only compare the 30M and the older, "standard" 50. Thank you for producing and posting this!

Do both poles have to be used for the 30m to be used? Or could you just use 1 pole and make it shorter? Have a low ceiling area I’m considering using it for
@cpfwriter Жыл бұрын
Oddly enough yes, you need both poles to support and connect to the driver top. EV does sell a one-piece short pole, which is often advertised as an accessory for the 50 and 50m, but works on the 30m as well. It is *very* short.

When is evolve bringing up a new set ? I think they improve their technology and the 30Ms excist for more then 7 years now .. isn’t it better just to wait for the newest technology speakers they are developing now ?
@DIGITALDJGEAR Жыл бұрын
We have no knowledge of any new versions of these products. It all depends how long you are willing to wait.

Thank you, then if connect 2 units 50M through the Quick Smart Link with Ethernet cable, and connect a guitar in one 50M and another guitar in another 50M, then each of the 2 guitars will be heard by 2 units, is so?

Hi. Is the quality of sound different in 30 and 50. And same about the sub
@madness855612 күн бұрын
The 50M obviously sounds louder and fuller with more high end sparkle and low end umph. However the 50M certainly doesn't sound twice a good as 30M. The smaller unit stood up to the bigger one when I tested both side by side before opting for a pair of Evolve 30Ms.

Can you connect two 30M's together? Or do you need a 50M to connect to either a 30m or another 50m?
@madness8556 Жыл бұрын
You can do both using an XLR cable.
@Marthins1 Жыл бұрын
@@madness8556 In that case, by connecting two 30M together with an XLR cable, the receiving unit would not be able to receive inputs, would it?
@cpfwriter Жыл бұрын
@@Marthins1 It would, though bear in mind one of those inputs would be taken up by the XLR from the Main out (for example) into 30m #2. But you'd have to operate the two units separate from each other. In contrast the 50m link allows you to run two 50ms from a single unified EV Quicsmart app

Great! Now how about 30m vs 2 everse 8s? I'm torn!
@DIGITALDJGEAR Жыл бұрын
What application are you using these in most often? 2 units is better if you want to spread out your sound or link in a large room
@borg386 Жыл бұрын
@DIGITALDJGEAR Hello! Mostly house karaoke parties and an occasional karaoke bar gig. I like the idea of having 4 microphones available so more folks can sing at the same time. But the portability and battery power option is always good. I'm leaning more towards 2 30ms in the long run. I have only one now, but my big issue still is how to get vocals to a second speaker? The music transfers fine, but the vocals will not. Thanks for the reply. I'm binging on all your videos right now. Thanks for making them.

Would you recommend 2x 30M or 1 50M ? and whats the big difference about the 50 and 50M
@DIGITALDJGEAR Жыл бұрын
I would definitely recommend a pair of 30m over a 50m. The 50m includes a mixer on the back of the unit.

I have since more than 4 years one EVOLVE50. I've been used my single EVOLVE50 for small private events (usually ~60 people, rarely about 1000. I am thinking to buy an EVOLVE30M so that just one speaker would be enough for small events and with portability advantage and I would combine the 2 (EVOLVE 50 + EVOLVE30M) for bigger events. Is it a good option or should I buy my 2nd EVOLVE50M? I am also thinking to buy 2x EVOLVE30M and resale my old EVOLVE50. Who could help me to decide.
@DIGITALDJGEAR Жыл бұрын
These are all good ideas really depends on your needs. 2x 50M would have you covered in almost any situation though!
